Ed Langdon ran 17.5km in last nights game according to the AFL app. This is the most distance ever covered by a Dees player in a game since they started reporting this data in 2017.

It also moves him into the top 10 of any player in the AFL over this period.

Well done Langers!

And makes you appreciate the fatigue he must feel when going for goal.

Nah, he’s a [censored] kick 🙌🏼🤷‍♂️

That he managed that surge of pace to get across to offer an option late in the game was heroic.

Having just followed the play all the way down the ground to be involve in the defensive 50 effort, I suspect he was already spent before he even started that sprint, and was probably ready to puke afterwards.

His running isn't just to get his daily steps count up! Low-key role model for all the kids.

Why hasn’t he signed on yet? Wouldn’t be shocked if he retired

He is a bit of an odd-ball but I’m thinking he wants a bit more of the pie.!!

Perhaps fancies a Duck dinner ??

Do we want to win the Telstra tracker or win flags?

Yeah being that guy, deal with it 🤪

The guy is only 28yo… could comfortably play for another 4 years. No one would give that up especially getting paid $500k per year running around after cow-hide.

Who cares how far he ran !! I thought he was disappointing & he has been inconsistent this year.

Ineffective disposals and really poor kicking for goal. Needs to lift his game.

I think this is one of Langdon's better seasons.  It seems he's finally recovered form after that knock to the ribs (which seemed to have created a psychological block).

Cool... couldn't care less how far he runs

At the end of the day his two misses were proven costly alongside Petty.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
