I am a huge fan of McV and see the comparisons between him and Allan Johnson from the late 80s and early 90s another gun wa back pocket.

    Alan Johnson must be felling a bit schizophrenic (although in a good way). He's been compared with both McVee and Windsor today (see the Windsor thread). High praise indeed...to all three players.

    Alan Johnson was a helluva player. Dashing from half back or wing, great hands, beautiful long kick and footy nous. Remember some magnificent long goals from the 40 to 50 m out that set Demon fans alight. What a dasher!

    Think there are some similarities but Johnno was a thumping kick. Regularly kicked it 55-60 metres.
