Apologies if this has already been discussed at length, I haven't had a chance to read through this thread, but I just saw Rivers got a fine for a sling tackle.  Am I the only one (apart from Tom McDonald) who thought Rozee threw himself on the deck trying to milk the free?

He absolutely milked that free. There was no 2nd action to his tackle. His technique was flawless as far as I can see.

Absolute BS. No arms pinned and Rozzee played a dead fish to draw a free. Madness. Should appeal.  Opposition player did zero to protect himself and had both arms free. What was rivers to do?

Salo wearing god only knows what 😅

Looks like someone walked in off the street to photo bomb.

Watched a part of the replay again.

My hat is off to all those who went to this game.

Seriously, those Port fans are feral and it's a committed supporter who braves that.

I think @WalkingCivilWar mentioned someone talking about being in the trenches.

I can genuinely see why.

To use an old Soprano line..." Did someone leave a cage open at turtleback zoo?"

Looks like one of those silk robes boxers come out wearing.

Also, why is Howesie pulling that face?

It looks as though Blake is holding one in and needs to go to the toilet. 💩💩💩

This hasn't been widely reported, but a large group of Port Adelaide players and coaching staff took the time to visit a local orphanage on Easter Sunday.

"I feel really sad for them.  They looked so lost with no hope for the future" said Jack, a five year old resident.

Billings is worth persevering with. He’s coming off two years plagued with injury-setbacks, and is finding his feet at a new club. He was never going to play his best footy in the first few weeks.

(Oh and, my phone seems pretty determined to spell his name as “Billing’s”, so I can understand the errors)

At this point, I think he is worth persisting with. If he keeps missing tackles in subsequent games then the conversation changes.

Sorry Mel, I read your post as a question. Fully agree with you.

And I didn't even realise that it might be out of place!

He also said he reckons most other clubs would envy our culture. He’s about the only one who’s backed us this whole time, so you know he’s not just jumping onboard now that things are on the up.

Yeah even last year he was still backing us in

This win really stacks up the more you think about it.

I get that statistically we perhaps shouldn’t have won, but stats don’t account for the last quarter’s tenacity, determination and nailing the clutch moments that we did.

I would be surprised if Port lose more than 2 games at AO this year.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
