Half time in this shocking display and I can't blame any of our players. They have been outgunned, outmanned, outplayed, outmustled, out-thought and don't tell me it has been the injuries.

I blaim the total ineptitude of our entire coaching and training staff. They are to blame for this carnage. I am completely broken hearted about the mis-match. Our BOYS are so badly prepared, just look at them, full of talent but so betrayed by their mentors. Many of the players that we have given the flick or transferred to other clubs have flourished while ours are just withering on the vine.

We look like high school kids and we haven't got a prayer against professional set ups that we can only dream of.

I am sick of our players having sand kicked in their faces every bloody week and I am mad as hell that I would give every trainer of ours the arse because we are running around like headless chickens that we would probably do better without them and we would save on the deal.

I am so bloody sad

 Are you not used to these type of performances where have you been in the last 10yrs? Daniher"s teams dont have a mental toughness issue

It will be a very brave board to give Daniher another contract when we will be sitting at 0-11!

We are the laughing stock of the AFL!

Absolutely right. I've thought the same thing since day 1 of the season. They've been outsmarted and out muscled every game. Something's gone pear shaped at the coaching and training part of the operation in this preseason. They've gone from flag contenders to the worst team in the comp. Though I'm sure Richmond will give us a run. Disheartening!

You never get used to this rubbish< God knows I've had 43 years of this crap, broken promises and false dawns we've had the lot!!!

Jones doing an admirable job on Kerr.

Am I clutching at straws here?

Jones has one of the best athletic bodies in our side, probably the fittest as well, he is a GUN player. If only we had the personal to bring more out of him

Dont undersatnd y the coaches would want our midfeild to lose kg`s????? Look at WCE.. JUdd. Cousins. Kerr, Braun, Flecther are build like tanks... And they run harder than any1 at Melbourne ever would.. u would think u would try and mimic the eagles being the champs... Not look like under 18`s

This game isnt much to smile about. Some of our future players are trying to stand tall against the best side in the comp.

Lots of negatives, but the few positives are worth smiling about.

kerr has 22 disposal and a 1 goal while jones has only 7 right now at 3 quarter time? i like jones and will be a gun player. he will learn from playing against a bloke like kerr who is a damaging player. i for one hope he can stay injury free and not have these injurys hinder his peformance like it has with a couple of our boys

It's unfortuante that games like this show the true culture of Melbourne; little heart and aspiration.

It's also unfortuante that next week we will probably play decent footy and win, which will blind everyone to the fact of how badly run this organisation is.

The thread name is a bit close to the mark LOL

Anyway for what it's worth my major disapointment is that the Weagles weren't rewarded by as big a win as they deserved

At least after a 200 point loss they'd have to put Yogi bear and Bo Boo in to coach the team

Danners is safe for another ten years after that magnificent comeback for three minutes in the third quarter

We went to Sandy yesterday and I tell you what.... Michael Newton is pretty damn good as is Colin Garland

Chris Lamb the man whom my nic refers to played OK as well, it was good to see him apply some elbow massage to the face of his opponent, somethong called aggression misiing from our current lot

The first 6 or 7 minutes of the 3rd quarter was the best footy we have played all year.....

We are crap and have alot of players at the crossroads..........

Please Daniher go away and take some of the morons with you.

Spot on.......and I don't think Jones has been as effective this year either as a result.

He seemed to be playing better footy towards the end of last year, and certainly didn't have any problems running out games, or being pushed off the ball.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
