No wonder may went at harmes. Harmes has been charged with headbutting him yesterday

Is there any footage available?

See above ^

Earlier in the match May tackled Harmes and got in his face a little whilst he was on the ground.

Harmes probably wanted to stand his ground a little this time but overplayed his hand it seems.

Yep

I thought they'd got rid of "victim evidence" a long time ago given the usual player code of saying "I felt nothing"

Wasn’t much in it. I would ban McGrath for being a [censored]. Those who initiate need to be accountable.

Apparently it's now OK to kick an opponent.

The game is disappearing up its own fundament at an exponential rate.

well it's still not ok

you will still, at the very low end, at least incur a free kick and a substantial fine.

and at the higher end ....

hardly worth the risk, so i don't think we will see a surge of strategic opponent kicking

You reckon $2,500 is a substantial fine for a highly paid AFL Captain?

That's just loose change for Sicily, assuming of course that the money even comes out of his own pocket.

Kicking an opponent is as low as it gets.  He deserved to cop a suspension for his actions.  Onya AFL.

Most of the ex players in the media agree. To them kicking is a suspension, end of story. It was a kick not a tap.

Just pathetic really.

Now kids will think it’s ok to kick another player, as long as it’s not too hard a kick.
