This sounds like a fantastic initiative by the club. Just like a the family day but with a practice match as an added bonus. Will be a fantastic day and turnout I'm sure.

Some others are talking up the pies effort. 4.30 midweek on a work/school day is never a good time. Followed by a "Jumper Presentation" which was the players walking onto a balcony 15m above the fans which I heard only a handful stayed around for as it took a considerable time to start after as the players warmed down and showered after the game. A lot of family/kids where seen leaving disappointed after not being able to wait around any longer having to get kids home for dinner and ready for school the next day.

I’m so over hearing about what other clubs do and how wonderful they are in comparison to us. The grass is always greener etc. Thank you for sharing the above in regards to Collingwood’s organising of their event.

Our Club is making a big effort to give our supporters an opportunity to engage with players, they’re providing fun for kids and pretty much everything - bar food and drinks - is free. All this at a point where there’s so much going on and so little time.

I don’t imagine anyone will leave Casey disappointed. ❤️💙

Yet another plug for the DA (soz all, but in the absence of a traditional Family Day this is our big opportunity to raise funds).

Anyways, if you think you’ve at some point in your life had the very best cupcake in the world, think again! Our cupcakes are TO. DIE. FOR. Moist yet still light and fluffy. Delicious whipped icing and unique handmade toppers. Eg…

Our DA baker extraordinaire has made toppers with 🏆on them and jumper numbers and myriad other Dees-related things. She’s a cupcake virtuoso.

So, her and I were spitballing the other day and we came up with this idea…

Why not capitalise on the many Tigers fans in attendance, right?
(Of course, I advised her to throw away all the utensils and bowls etc. after making them and to burn the clothes she was wearing. 😝)

There’ll also be other just as delish baked items for sale.

HAVE AT ‘EM!!!

Huge opportunity for Howes, Laurie, Windsor and Billings. They are the 4 who we need to see do well and push genuine claims for round 1.

Be nice to see Tommo and Schache looking somewhat competent too.

Aside from that it's experimentation time, keep pace on the ball, don't be afraid to make mistakes and play with good spirit more so concerns for results.

Agree... Going forward I don't see Tomlinson as best 22

Also need a Hibberd replacement. Asking a lot of Bowey to take that role

That is why Demonland exists. A lot of the other injury blanks we've pieced together from our wonderful Trackwatchers.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
