Looks like this will probably be our starting tall forward line-up until Petty returns

There is Nothing like experience in the forward line, even when Petty comes back,

I pray we can get 10 or 12 very good but managed games in the forward line out of BBB and Tmac.

I have no problem with that and hope it takes the pressure of Petty to try and hasten his return.

It's a disgrace that the gallery doesn't load properly on the MFC Android app, it's 2024!

Doesn’t work on my iPhone either.

I can’t see anything on the MFC website regarding Seymour Community Camp, there’s nothing like revving up the local community or resident Dee supporters in anticipation of getting involved with the camp??

My guess is they will be on a break until Fri 23rd, when they have a run at Casey.

I reckon they will do something Sunday the 25th. Maybe at Gosch's, but they may also get creative.

I like that they get to spend some time away from the job prior to the season real starting.

Read in the transcript from the spiel of Gawny, that they have 3 days off, after the match sim with Richmond.

They may be training somewhere on Thursday, so Sunday 25th may be a day off (a change to what I wrote in the previous post).

Your guess is as good as mine.

I wonder if Hunter, Fullarton, T Mac and BBB will be in full training next session.

I originally posted about Brayshaw in the hope the rumour wasn't true.

Despite the website having said all week that  there was training at casey today, there wasnt and the gates were locked.  Some of the boys had a hit of cricket, and sounded like a fun game/session in the gym.  So not sure whether this was a last minute change or not.

The below AFL training sessions are open for fan and member attendance.

Training times and locations are subject to change, so please check back prior to attending sessions.

Please note sessions may conclude earlier or later than listed.

There may be a short opportunity for autographs and photographs at the end of each session. However, we ask that our fans respect the players' post-training schedule and recovery requirements.

Times will be updated here when available.

Given that they didn't train at Casey today, as previously slated, perhaps they will have a run tomorrow morning (Saturday). As they seem to have scheduled quite a few Saturday runs (most likely captains runs).

The Gus issues may have thrown them into some changes.

Nothing set up at the moment.

Had a chat to an employee of the park, who said they may be training from 10 to 12 today as they have Gosch's booked for then.

Nothing is being set up

Victory came out at 10, crossed wires

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

Following a disastrous 0–5 start to the season, the Demons have now made it three wins in a row, cruising past a lacklustre West Coast side on their own turf. Skipper Max Gawn was once again at his dominant best, delivering another ruck masterclass to lead the way.

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
