Apparently you can just grab a player without the ball and throw him out of the way

I reckon you'll see a few phases today where the lions surge and the umps will bring the pies back into it.

Poor last minute from Brisbane

Lions need to pressure more on Pies high half-forward, ball carrier and the last kick inside 50, they are getting easy entries and keeping it low and away from Andrews and co.

It's funny because in 21 that was something we seemed to not only get rid of but reverse.  This year it seemed to sneak back in.

Neale 3 McCluggage 1 Charlie 0 lot of room for improvement from Lions.

Heat will be a factor if close at 3/4 time.

Would think Lions might run it out better then.

Poor disposal by Raynor when all he had to do was find a short pass.

Is he out there?

No way Murphy isn’t concussed.

Cameron for the Norm Smith 😀.

Murphy is an honest toiler. Unlucky for him. Pity it wasn’t Maynard

Good to hear Maynard being booed. No 19th man today.

The dominant storyline coming out of Round One for Saturday Night’s clash at Optus Stadium centres on the influence of the big men. The spotlight naturally falls on two elite ruckmen who, five years ago, shared the stage in Melbourne’s memorable premiership triumph.
