Grundy's had a bad run. An AA ruckman dropped by 2 clubs in consecutive years. i can understand why he has the [censored].

that said, a Gawn injury and he was straight back into a finals team so its a lack of professional not to maintain standards and be ready in case.

Was AA BDA

Appears to have lost a fair bit of agility and leap he had prior to the injury.

Suspect the Pies didn't just let him go for salary cap space.

from an HR perspective Exit interviews are held with terminating employees.

KPIs and performance interviews are and should be referenced constantly ( or not at all ) for individual purposes.

As has been noted players probably get feedback relentlessly, how they respond needs to factored into the regularity or length etc.

Exit interviews by their very nature are more a review of the clubs practices. Why are you leaving, what makes alternative so attractive, what would you suggest we do to retain you, etc.

Ask everyone to take the pledge.

Heard it’s good for cleaning dirty surfaces.

Maybe change the terminology, although all clubs call it the same, there would be some very interesting exit interviews with players that have not been offered a contract extension. I remember that Riv said he was offered some great advice at his exit interview last year that had an impact on his performance this year. I would love to be a fly on the wall.!!

For those who think contracts mean you can’t get delisted, James Stewart, Lachie O’Brien and Jake Pasini have all been delisted, with a year to go on their contracts.

Yes they will be paid out in full, but are gone from their club.

What’s worse in Stewart’s case at the Bombers, is that he lost his father Craig Stewart this year, in very sad circumstances. Bombers showing their true culture and I hope his team mates are furious and that the Bombers bomb again.

Wonder if Michael Warner or Robbo will question the Bombers’ culture. Not holding my breath.

I was one who didn’t know this. Can players be delisted with anything more than one year left on their contract?

I’m interested as to how/why the AFLPA at some point allowed this.

They still get paid. They're just not on a list.  Not sure why this is a problem

They're being paid for nothing and can go to another club if they're good enough

Yes,and the club carries the cost in the next year's salary cap. I'm pretty sure it's not a decision taken lightly.

Fair enough. Initially it sounded worse than it actually is I guess.

Although I reckon some players will feel aggrieved by not being part of a club environment or getting the chance to play and try to secure a new contract.

This is highly likely but I get why clubs do it.
