Hopefully a good turnout of Demons supporters?

Sadly, I couldn't make it due to work commitments.

It would be interesting if any media show up. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't. 😒

About 4 or 5 tv cameras there.

No pressure little one, AFL or AFLW will chug along fine until you can rock us with your athleticism and aerial skills!  Congrats to Joel and Elise.  Interesting how the headline mentions "his child".  Does it not take two??

What did his partner do, other than carry the child for 9 months then ruin her body to get it out? Pffft

Joel is clearly the hero here for turning up to the birth, and then playing footy.

Jaded best we ask WCW to celebrate Joel's heroics with his own special banner ;-)

Might have something to do with Joel's partner being in labor....

Political implications?

Definitely the reason why I didn't want to bother you 🤪

Do you take cards at these things? Need to know to save future embarrassment.

I've still got the BBQ smell on the mind, Anyone feel like cooking some sausages at a park close to me this arvo? Haha.

You wouldn’t have been bothering me at all! I was gonna suggest you cook up some snags and onion at home but it’s not the same, is it?!

Depending on tomorrow night’s result, we’ll be holding another sausage sizzle either next week or the week after 🤞🏼 And we take cash or card. 👍🏽

I'm excited! Go Dees!  🔵🔴🔵

Kozzy’s left knee strapped like it was this time last year.

I could only see strapping on Kossie, and none of the others.

A good year for the training staff.

Thoughts on Hibbo, will he play?

He was looking very trim and fit. His preparations must be professional, and so giving himself every chance for a call up.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
