You picked it, Blister (as they say "I'll show myself out"). Include the timing for the AFL game, and the VFL H&A fixture, this comp is compromised.

Go Dees.

It's a complete sham Kev.

Unfortunately the AFL calls the shots and all the clubs are in on the circus act and gravy train so none will speak up.

Everyone blames the AFL but the VFL and the AFL affiliate clubs are also to blame for allowing the AFL to ride roughshod without any protest etc

Not sure why Schache is not playing either

A number of silly 'withholds' by the club including JJ, Woe, Tomlinson or Disco.

There's no way the Dogs are taking so many easy marks i50 with one of Disco or Tomo in.

Madness ....complete and utter madness

Unfortunately it has become obvious that the AFL has no interest whatsoever in the VFL as a competition.

The introduction of the interstate clubs has been a disaster for the Victorian comp

Three early goals in the 3rd to Dogs.

Makes it a climb of Everest for us.

Dees 34

Dogs 87

Verrall is not a backman, misses a hit up. Then in the ruck on the Dogs arc, taps it to a Dogs player.

Put him forward, and play Farris-White as ruck.

I guess they see him as the first pick ruck, given how much time he has played there, with Bell or Farris-White available.

I am hoping (and that's all it is) the AFL will view and manage the game with a far greater degree of fairness when Gil leaves in a month.

Now, back to spreading pixie dust with Rosetta and Tinker Bell 🧚‍♀️🧚

Dare we say it... officially a demolition. Jimmy Munro may be having a holiday early next season. Meanwhile Luke's down the pound looking for strays.

They show the Dee's players on the telly.

Where are the AFL Dogs?

Beveridge had them playing for themselves!

If you leave 7 players out who are eligible and AFL listed… then this is the result.  Casey got stitched up again by MFC

There is also a good chance they don't know the names, nor the cohesion/connection with the add ons.

Major advantage to the Bulldogs who had a rest at the weekend playing against a team coming off a six-day break. Typical VFL - no consideration for a fair competition.

I posted on this regarding the proposal to introduce a Wildcard Round for the AFL (which was rejected by the Club CEOs). Basically the introduction of a Wildcard Round severely advantages the 5th & 6th teams which will probably also have implications for the Semi-Finals, as the losing Qualifying Finalists will be disadvantaged compared to the winning Elimination Finalists (assumng the latter are the 5th & 6th teams).

The situation is further exacerbated by the Wildcard Round being played on Sunday when it should have been played on Saturday. So the 5th & 6th teams not only get a week's break but they play the 7th & 8th teams off 6-day breaks which could have been totally avoided.

Unlike others I have no problems with Melbourne resting fringe AFL players this week. Obviously they're going to do what maximises their chances of success on Thursday night. Imagine if they had played them for Casey and injuries/concussions had occurred. Much easier and more sensible to manage their loads in a controlled training environment.

TLTL Jefferson and AMW feature up forward. Goal!

A very disappointing end to the season.MFC need to take note…cannot play 27 players.23 at best, next Thursday. Some boys just not up to scratch.

Adding insult to injury, Carlton's first choice umpires appear to get a run.

Thanks for ALL once again,KC from Casey. We appreciate ALL.

  • CASEY: Coburg

The Casey Demons returned to their home ground which was once a graveyard for opposing teams but they managed to gift the four points on offer to Coburg with yet another of their trademark displays of inaccuracy in front of goals and some undisciplined football that earned the displeasure of the umpires late in the game. The home team was welcomed by a small crowd at Casey Fields and looked right at home as it dominated the first three quarters and led for all bar the last five minutes of the game. In the end, they came away with nothing, despite winning everywhere but on the scoreboard and the free kick count.

The Demons were wasteful early before putting the foot down early in the 2nd quarter but they chased tail for the remainder of the match. They could not get their first use of the footy after half time and when they did poor skills, execution and decision making let them down.
