Anything less than a forty point win will not suffice.

Big day for Max. Boys need to get it done.

Plus with a few teams going into finals with a lot of wins behind them, we need some form as well.

Hopefully Smith and Jvr work well together.

Why?

They beat Collingwood two weeks ago and the Dogs last week. They beat Brisbane earlier in the year, too.

I think we should win by 40+ if we play at or near our best but I am not going to be too glum if we win by less, because the win is incredibly important.

If you don’t turn up today and choose to watch on tv instead (and you’re in Melbourne obviously), then shame on you. Final home game of the year. In the race for top 4. Captain Max playing his 200th. Weather is mild.
Don’t be the sort of Melbourne supporter everyone laughs about. Turn up, make noise, and let’s bury those Hawks!

When are people on this forum going to finally understand that being able to attend games is a privilege, not a display of commitment? I would love nothing more than to be there today, but I will have to watch from home, for  reasons I don’t owe anybody here an explanation. Stick your “shame” up your [censored].

I think you may have got this one a bit jumbled rufus.

The correct phrase is queue in Iraq.

I was obviously referring to people who CAN come today but CHOOSE not to.

Make it more obvious.

I hear you but mainly because I hate Hawthorn and we are by far a better team. Plus I think we will see our mids shine bright today.

Ps you were right about Carlton.

Doh.

Our jumper today looks like Fitzroy Of old.

Pretty sure @Jaded No More is referring to those who have the ability to go but just choose not to.

For those who have the means to attend, please attend.

Tram is taking about 10 minutes to move 5 metres into the Flinders station stop.

Let’s just say I prefer your phrasing.

Maybe the hawks win last week wasn’t that great.

Still prefer Grundy in the team, happy Tomlinson is back in.

If we are serious we win easily.

Just watched the VFL and Grundy looks like a broken player at the moment. Looks to have zero confidence in himself.

Happy if we just get the 4 points but a comfortable win would be nice for the heart after the last few weeks

Yep, just want that top four spot and move on from there.

  • PODCAST: Gold Coast

I’ll be away for the next few weeks, so Binman will be holding the fort for our podcasts covering the Suns, Bombers and Lions matches. As a result, there will be no live podcasts during this period, and we won’t be taking calls or voicemails. Binman will still be dipping into this thread to select a few questions to answer, while also combining the long-form Stats Files podcast with the Demonland Podcast for these shows. Your questions and comments are a huge part of what makes the podcast work, so please post anything you’d like to ask or say below and we’ll do our best to give you a shout-out on the show. Please try to keep each post focused on one specific topic or player to make podcast preparation a little easier. If you have multiple topics you’d like to raise, please put them in separate posts.

It's Game Day and the Demons are back at the MCG and have a massive challenge ahead of them as they take on Premiership contender the Gold Coast Suns. What do you want to see from the Dees today?

  • PREVIEW: Gold Coast

Melbourne’s slow starts have been a troubling theme for a while. Against the Suns, they started slowly in both of their games, they trailed by 5.7.37 to 0.1.1 at quarter time at Peoples First Stadium in Round 16. This season, the story has remained the same and if the Demons fail to shake off this issue against the unbeaten Gold Coast Suns, they will be in serious danger of capitulating once again in their Easter Sunday showdown.
