T-Mac looking solid, id expect him to be taken of in the 3rd and rested up

Perhaps, but I would prefer to see if he can run out a game.

Will see what we need in near 3 quarters

Jeffo on the wing! Am I watching Robbie? Killing it and just kicked a goal

TMac spots up Jefferson and he goals. Two things here:

1. Jefferson completely missed the last kick into 50 which would have given TMac his 3rd

2. TMac went to Jefferson rather than Grundy in teh square.

oh Grundy doesn’t help himself, but really could be setting the world alight if a few things went his way

And Turner just out bodied Buzza….. sheeesh.

McDonald will definitely be back next week if he maintains his performance today for the rest of the game.

Waiting to be shot down but I still can’t believe Dunstan hasn’t been picked for one single game all season.

Dunstan nailz 2nd far too good at this level

Jefferson not liking the idea of body contact but he is just a kid and needs to fill out.

yeh he physically isn't at the level.  but goot to see they are building up his aerobic game, which is his strength

For those who aren’t watching, we are not dominating. We are being well beaten. It’s just their kicking for goal has been as bad as our field kicking.

Anyone able to put up the score please? Thank

Despite a spirited third quarter surge, the Demons have slumped to their worst start to a season since 2012, remaining winless and second last on the ladder after a 39-point defeat to Essendon at Adelaide Oval in Gather Round.

It’s Game Day, and the Demons are staring down the barrel of an 0-5 start for the first time since 2012 as they take on Essendon at Adelaide Oval for Gather Round. In that forgettable season, Melbourne finally broke their drought by toppling the Bombers. Can lightning strike twice? Will the Dees turn their nightmare start around and breathe life back into 2025?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

As the focus of the AFL moves exclusively to South Australia for Gather Round, the question is raised as to what are we going to get from the  Melbourne Football Club this weekend? Will it be a repeat of the slop fest of the last three weeks that have seen the team score a measly 174 points and concede 310 or will a return to the City of Churches and the scene where they performed at their best in 2024 act as a wakeup call and bring them out of their early season reverie?  Or will the sleepy Dees treat their fans to a reenactment of their lazy effort from the first Gather Round of two years ago when they allowed the Bombers to trample all over them on a soggy and wet Adelaide Oval? The two examples from above tell us how fickle form can be in football. Last year, a committed group of players turned up in Adelaide with a businesslike mindset. They had a plan, went in confidently and hard for the football and kicked winning scores against both home teams in a difficult environment for visitors. And they repeated that sort of effort later in the season when they played Essendon at the MCG.
