Dees to put Puppies to sleep

0-6

Yes, 0-6.

The numbers don't look good, but the cattle is on the way back and the spirit is still there. The Dees are rejuvenated. We beat an in form Port team last week with half our side out. When Jones, Bate and Petters are your best 3 players on the ground, you have to be excited as a Demons supporter.

So this Sunday we meet the Western Bulldogs. A very ordinary mob indeed. Full of midgets, and soft as butter. Remember what happened when we met them late in the year last year? Yup, we murdered them. Expect much of the same this weekend

Bruce to destroy Brad Johnson (for the 55th time)

Neitz, Dunn and Sylvia to run rampant against the worst backline in the comp

Davey to continue his electrifying form that brother Alwyn is trying and failing to emulate.

Bate to continue to DOMINATE.

The result

Demons by 45

Neitz and Dunn to kick 5 each

Bate 31 disposals, 2 goals

Sylvia to do an almighty number on 5 different opponents, and walk away with 28 touches, 13 marks, 8 tackles and 4 goals.

Pickett to smash Adam Cooneys head into the ground a la Kane Cornes.

Then what will happen?

The Dees will be 1-6, then will travel to Perth and lose a close one to the Eagles.

1-7.

Then something will happen that only myself and a few other visionaries could see -

The Demons, so injury plagued and out of form, will start to come together. McLean will return. Whelan and Robertson will return. Bartram will follow.

Demons win 10 in a row, and move to 11-7. 4 games left and in top 4 calculations

Who would have thought.

Well hang on kids, cos this season has only just begun.

Yze Magic you are serously deluded.

Every week it is the same.

Normally I just sip it, decide it just doesn't tase quite right and leave it alone.

Today I'm getting a bucket full and treating myself to a heapin' helpin'.

Bring on top four!

P.s, when you're done with the antipsychotics, you can just slip me a little, yeah?

Davey to continue his electrifying form that brother Alwyn is trying and failing to emulate.

Don't you mean Aaron is a try hard Alwyn. In fact, Alwyn is the greatest rising star in the AFL. If he was a year younger, he would be monty for the rising star award. He already has the Brownlow in the bag.

Aaron wishes he could be as good as his younger brother. Brock McLean wishes he was Alwyn Davey.

Aaron should give the game away cos his career is destined to be compared to Alwyns, but of course he will never be as good.

I feel this week is the best chance we have had in our losses. We have few people out of the squad now. Need to shutdown their run...i do not want to see a doggies player running on his own on the wing. If that happens we will get absolutly mutilated. Shut down their game. 1 on 1 stuff is required. I would like one player from melb risk his game and play last line of attack and keep lindsay gilbee back there. We must look for a target...im looking at moloney...dont bomb look, search for a teammate. Over and out

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
