Just now, whatwhat say what said:

completely different midfield set-up for casey without either jj or woey 2.0 there

jvr gets a goal out the back; he's been very quiet

Has he had a chance ?

he's been stationed i50 and only just had his first major lead up the ground to mark, handed it off to white who bombed it straight to chandler with two blokes on him

tomlinson is an awful kick - under zero pressure he kicks it straight to oppo's tallest bloke on the ground, who drops it, and the rove ended up with harmes marking just outside the square for a goal

Casey outscored Sandy in that quarter after a slow start.

Half Time Casey Demons 6.8.44 lead Sandringham 3.4.22

Goals Schache 3 Edwards Harmes van Rooyen

Disposals Tomlinson 17 Dunstan Harmes 12 Chandler Munro Steele 11

Funny kind of quarter. We were dominated by Sandy, who didn't capitalise. Then in the last 10 minutes started getting better forward entries.

Many of the MFC listed were in and out of the game.  Also, occasionally sloppy with handling and disposals.

Interesting that they are playing Chandler as a mid, some of the time.

What's happened to Turner, as he is not playing?

Schache should be looked at a little bit more closely re a crack at the ones.

Weids mk2 , struggles @ afl level, it’s his 3rd club, hope he can improve but don’t think so

JVR looking very ordinary

Some of the delivery's been a bit ordinary.  Under blusty conditions though.  Might help if the Jeffo & Roohey worked to get front position a tad more

Blake Howes classy. Beats two on the wing then a perfect kick. Jefferson taking two great marks and delivering a good ball to Schache who lost it in the sun. Laurie creates a good mark to AMW who misses. Getting back on top. Good experience for Verral in his third game playing on a genuine AFL ruck in Cambell.

JVR takes a nice chest mark at 50. Misses an easy pass to Chandler who passes to Jefferson who gets punched in the head. No free, Schache gets a free in the ensuing throw in and goals. We’re on top atm.

JVR takes a lovely mark on the lead at 48m. Kade Chandler demands the footy leading to a deep pocket, bottles the mark and it spills over the boundary. Chandler playing for himself.

Schache meanwhile gets a free, kicks his fourth. He must come into the side, and Gawn or Grundy has a spell. Maybe ply one as a sub

This English guy commentating is mixing up his players.

Called Schache Laurie after a goal and Moniz Wakefield, Chandler and then Munro, before getting it right.

Sounds like he wants Brian Taylor's job

Pretty sure that JVR kick was in to the teeth of the breeze, they both stuffed the pass.

Schache got a soft in the back free. Nice finish, he’s putting his hand up but not busting the door down.

We should give Deakyn Smith a run as a defensive pressure forward, he’s down the pecking order as a defender but he’s a really willing competitor.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
