Was Harmes training? Just interested to see that he's not even on the emergency list this week?

I did not see Harme's at either session.

Someone here earlier this week posted Harmes was sick kev, can’t remember the poster’s name. Could explain his absence.

Joel Smith dominating up forward, after about 9 years at the club, would have to be more than a dream.

We'll see.

I'm pretty confident he's get his chance.

And sooner rather than later.

In teh absence of BBB and TMac knocking the door down for selection, J Smith is a good athlete and has good strength. Allows us to use Petty down back.

Only ? will be his footy smarts at the forward and not letting his man work off him.

Well 4 he hasn’t.

Not saying he couldn’t fill in, but the suggestion was “ dominate “.

I guess whenever he (Joel Smith) has been able to play he has spent most of his time in defence, so his defensive skills should serve us well if he were a forward.

Joel Smith will likely get his chance in the coming weeks. He better grab it with both hands and not break his thumb in the process

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
