This reminds me of when Fritta’s one-week suspension was (successfully) appealed in May 2021. I had only just joined Demonland and we were all on here to learn Fritta’s fate, record number of posters for a Tuesday arvo. I remember thinking, “Wow, I’ve found a bunch of nuffies as nuffie as me!”

I think you're underselling yourself a little WC

@WalkingCivilWar certainly is underselling. Makes her a very good buy IMHO. Blue-chip.

Close - no cigar.

Brad Close: forever remembered for punching the ball into the stands late in the game, Round 23, 2021.

Thanks, Brad!

"Bradley Close is present at the hearing, but it appears he will not be giving evidence.

As such, we will have to take it on face value that his name is Bradley Close."

Ihle (Geelong): It was Dawson that took the tackle in the direction it went, it was Dawson that brought the two of them towards the ground, it was Dawson who lost his footy, it was Dawson who chose to hold onto the ball.

Editorial summary: It was Dawson

As well as:

“The Tribunal has now been deliberating for just shy of 40 minutes. I'd be halfway through a line at Lune by now.”

Tonight is like the good ol' Tuesday nights at Harrison House and Neil (the Hangman) Busse. Great dayz. Bang, bang, bang meant something different back then. Dippa, 3 weeks (BANG), Mr Keenan, 2 weeks (BANG), and as for you Mr. Rhys-Jones, 6 weeks and $250 fine (BANG BANG BANG).

A better buy than PacWest and many of the other U.S. regional banks right at this moment QD

Rooey giving evidence now. Good luck young man.

Hard to argue ‘high impact’ when the player is already training and cleared to fly to Perth and play less than 6 days after the incident.

Out of curiosity, under the laws is there a level above high impact?

And significantly more prized.

DA stalwart and a Melbourne tragic... enough said (as you can see i didn't use the abbreviated nuffie version "nuff" there)

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
