I would be interested to hear the feedback he got from the club at the end of last season, and how/what steps he took that delivered him a senior debut this year.

Also, what does he focus on in preparation for each game?

Is he a stress merchant, a relaxed prepper or something else as he preps for games?

Ask him who’s more intimidating- May or Lever?

How has their influence and direction helped him on-field?

Ed: as I believe Salem has been his mentor preseason.

Any information about being drafted would be interesting.

Did any other clubs show interest?

What happened in his draft year to see him slip down to the rookie draft (he was highly touted the year before from memory)?

Which backline player has taught him the most?

Where does he think he will end up playing long term? Backline or somewhere else?

Kind of related, how much input does a player just starting out like McVee have in what position he plays and how he is developed?

Are players asked where they would like to play as an input to the decisions, or does the club say “You will be playing this role” and the player’s preferences aren’t taken into consideration?

I appreciate that for a young player like McVee the answer to this question may be different to an established star player negotiating a contract extension.

Love to hear what it has been like each step of the way moving over here. How hard was the move and the adjustment. Was it a hard decision to extend. And does he understand players deciding to fo home. Is there a special bond within the club between the WA boys or does coming from Geraldton make that irrelevant

What are him and JVR’s favourite surf spots in Victoria?

Great question. If he is a surfer, he will be keen to talk about surfing. Which might help him relax if he is nervous (which is likley given his age)

Another q might be who is the best surfer at the club

I'd be keen to get his take on who of the young boys at Casey is most likely to take the next big step (as he has now) to AFL football

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
