A lot of people over time here have shared stories about finding old memorabilia and contacting the club to donate but have been ignored. This might be a great alternative solution for those people because it will still help (albeit indirectly) our club.

There’d be absolutely no chance of being ignored if an email is sent to

[email protected]

It would definitely help our Club since the DA is the largest volunteer group of the MFC. (Incidentally, there are several other MFC volunteer groups who also do an outstanding job, it’s just they’re not as loud and annoying as us. 😆)

Thanks in advance to anyone who does help our fundraising efforts. It’s very much appreciated! ❤️💙

I’d LOVE the giant Langers graphic, Luci! Trouble is I’m running out of walls. I’m down to one lot of available wall-space, aka my son’s bedroom. He periodically threatens to call child protection as it is, this would surely tip him over the edge. 😂

PS: I love your positivity re Maxy’s forthcoming 200th. Taking his current absence into account he may well have to wait until finals to reach that milestone. Even possibly the grand final! Imagine that, though… winning a premiership in Big Maxy’s 200th game. ❤️💙

Well, if you give me the Jayden cut out you'll have room for the Langdon graphic, no?  🙃🙂🙃

Re Max's 200; missing 4 games gets him there in round 24, missing 6 would be in the second final.  Unless he misses more weeks I have no doubt he will reach the much deserved 200 this year.

We won the premiership on Viney's 150th so yeah, Max's 200 in a GF would be extra sweet.

Are you hearing yourself speak, Luci?!?!

For starters, I bought so many raffle tickets that *my son had to live on two minute noodles for a week. Then there’s the loooonnnggg trek home on two trains and a sardine can aka the dreaded replacement bus. Then of course it had to start raining just as giant Jayden and I got off in St Albans. Didn’t stop the ne’er-do-wells from asking if I had a spare cigarette or $. Poor giant Jayden would’ve been thinking what’s this hell-scape you’ve taken me to? I would’ve told him, well you live in Perth now, what’s your point?! Then there was the mounting of giant Jayden on my lounge room wall. I don’t know what caused more angst… the ridiculous amount of Blu Tack needed or the threats of leaving home from my son.

So if you think for a second I’d relinquish giant Jayden to you or anyone for that matter, think again! 😁

* my son didn’t really live on two minute noodles. Please don’t anyone call CP on me. 😜

Part 2: Tracing and cutting out numbers and letters…

This was our content guide for Round 3. ⬆️

The sheet underneath tells us how many of each letter (and number if applicable) is needed. The letters are traced onto cardboard then it’s snip snip snippety time…

Once cut out, the letters are placed in alphabetical order on the floor (or backwards alphabetical like I did last night just for S&Gs). ⬇️  ready to be stuck down…

@WalkingCivilWar how often do you and other members of the cheer squad get to interstate games? Do you take it in turns so there is always some level of representation, or are there fellow MFC supporters interstate that take up cheer squad duties when it’s in their neck of the woods?

There’s always a great level of representation at interstate matches. In fact, of all cheer squads, we have the highest interstate attendance per capita. Pretty amazing considering we all pay our own way.

There’s a core group of us that attend almost every interstate match. This year there’s only two I personally won’t be able to attend: this week’s match and our Alice match. But there’s definitely DA members who’ll be there.

Plus you need time to get back to your seats to actually watch the game.

Yes! This is oftentimes a problem, depending on the venue. At the ‘G we make it back just in the nick of time. This is because we have a long walk through the bowels of the ‘G to arrive at the race, then a long walk back again, this time carrying the heavy mofo of a banner.

At the ‘Gabba where we have to literally leave the ground (scan our tickets again) walk around the outside then re-enter the ground close to the race (again with the scanning), we sometimes miss the first couple of minutes.

Don’t even get me started on the Geelong experience. As is the case with all things Mordor-related, banner duty is NOT fun.

My fave (thus far) is Adelaide Oval. Shorter walk. Don’t miss the first bounce, and friendly ground staff.

Yes, I’m quoting myself. I’ve no shame. 😁

Just realised that my above pretend-angry act was so good that it may seem real. There’s NO WAY I’d ever speak to Luci this way. Ever.

And Luci… you know I love you, but you still can’t have giant Jayden. 😜

Incidentally, this happened during the match... Security came to tell us the Port corporates located behind our bay were demanding we stop waving flags etc. when the oppo is lining up for a shot on goal. Some Essendon supporters standing behind our bay had also complained to security about this. We continued to do it since we do it at every ground without it being an issue. At halftime the boss of security rang the AFL and was told we are indeed allowed to do it, despite the chagrin of the above-mentioned sooks. I didn’t think it possible to have yet another reason on my list for hating Essendon, but here we are. Then me and my car mates copped verbal abuse from Essendon supporters on the way from the ground to our car. Yep… on the list.

Good grief.  Is this how they behave when their team is winning or just won the game?  What would they have done during a Mark Neeld type disaster?  The bummers by name and character :-)  WCW you are an absolute trooper.

Thank you, DBM. I despise Essendon but objectively still maintain their supporters are the worst of all. On Saturday Dean, an awesome grounds-person at AO, told me we’re up there with the best banner crews he deals with. I asked him who he considered the worst and without having to think he said Essendon closely followed by West Coast.

One time at the ‘G I asked a food vendor who of his customers were the rudest and he said definitely Essendon fans.

So it’s official (to me anyways), Essendon fans are THE WORST. 😁

We definitely are the best. Everyone knows this. 😇 It’s just that the grounds-person is a Richmond supporter so naturally he rates them as the best. Pfft imagine being so one-eyed!

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
