Round 24 times still not out despite it being only 18 days away. Good luck trying to plan a trip up to Sydney within that timeframe.

Given Sydney are becoming more relevant by the week, I think we can almost rule out the Saturday afternoon time slot which is increasingly becoming the time slot for dud games.

Saturday night or Sunday the most likely. We play Sunday and Sydney play the Saturday the prior week.

Hold the phone. Tommy is now saying a Sunday Afternoon game is a lock.

Oooh that would be ideal. Mainly because I’ll be able to watch it up in QLD while I drink a cocktail pool side.
If we lose I’ll just throw myself and the laptop in the pool 😂

I have a family function on the Saturday night so I will not be able to watch a minute if it is on then. Sunday is perfect for me as I can watch in peace and quiet whilst nursing a hangover.

Sunday 3:20pm vs Sydney. Probs originally planned for the Buddy Show on Saturday night but since his retirement was immediate, now it’ll probably just be a pre-match send-off with all the pomp and pageantry it deserves. We’ll still rain on their parade, though. ❤️💙

But we won’t… therefore your good self and your laptop will remain dry as a bone. 😁

Is this 100% confirmed?

We should be on the Saturday since a top 4 team

Doesn't really matter with a week off between finals.

I prefer a 7 day break between round 23 and round 24 and I think so would the club.

Chances are we finish 2nd or 3rd and therefore got the Saturday night game in week 1 of finals, with 1 v 4 generally the Friday night?

Also gets us FTA exposure again.

Sat arvo has become the AFL’s graveyard slot. Sunday arvo is now more prestigious. Collingwood played a stack of Sunday games earlier this year.

I don't think people want Saturday afternoon anymore.

Kids sports, work etc. Sunday afternoon is a better timeslot for families IMO.

Good result given we've avoided a 6 day break and the club gets some more FTA exposure.

Now that the date has been announced, anyone have an idea when tickets will go on sale, or if the club has an allocation that they have available to on sell?

EDIT - tickets go on sale Tue Aug 15.

Congratulations to the AFL for managing to organise 9 games with only 2 weeks left before the round is played.

Thank goodness they did not screw us in the process and give us a short break AND travel all in one. It pays to be a good side!

Really? My son's junior football is on Sunday, and the older teams are playing after lunch.

I'd much rather Saturday afternoon games, especially when you don't get home until after 7pm on a Sunday night after a 3:20 game.

    TRAINING: Monday 11th November 2024

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025. Once again the club’s top goal scorer but he had a few uncharacteristic flat spots during the season and the club will be looking for much better from him in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. 2024 Player Reviews: #39 Koltyn Tholstrop

The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025.
