Today I received the list of memberships for next season. It has been talked about but is it correct that we will only need  our membership card to gain entry?

Yep. Just gotta scan the barcode. The plastic card is no longer for the purpose of a souvenir.

Excellent news.

Not quite....if I remember you have to OPT IN to get the card.....the electronic version will remain the same.

Definitely. I just renewed and you do have to click on “yes” to the question “would you like to have a plastic card?”  Otherwise, it defaults to “no” I think.

All reserved seat memberships already have a wait list. :(

because they are expecting them all to be renewed

last year it was mandatory that all reserved seats had to buy the gfg (>$200 expense). so reserved seat numbers equal the total number of gfgs available.

if i can't buy my 3 reserved seat memberships without the gfg i'll be regretfully downgrading my memberships to no reserved seat. It's just a rort where you have no choice

Is it something to do with going back to paper tickets? I'll be happy to use a card again, no more of this turning up the brightness shiz.

By the way if you ever use your phone of night mode and you plan on scanning in, don't. It doesn't work. That night of the Sydney final I ran into that trouble and had some guy saying "Turn your brightness up bro" Pro Tip: It wasn't the brightness.

Sounds like I will have to call the club. I was in a drug haze when I renewed and don’t remember seeing it. Thanks George. They have some nice people the membership department.

Sometimes I find the backlight of a smartphone screen a bit too bright especially at night time. Night mode darkens the backgrounds and skins of apps.

Apparently the blue light of the screen also inhibits melatonin and so makes it harder to sleep.  You can also have your phone put an orange glaze over everything (in addition to having the dark backgrounds etc) to neutralise the backlight of your phone

Yeah I'm a big believer in the inhibiting theory. It keeps your attention stimulated when what you need is to go into a much slower state of mind before sleep. The orange glaze thing is great, much warmer and less harsh!

Agreed!  Love the automatic turn on for these features which are now available.  At 9.30 pm, my whole phone becomes grayscale on top of the night mode... except I can never bring myself to sleep then so it's not much use!
