I think you’d rather I get mine Jaded instead of you yours, as mines on the 23rd.

I mean I got mine last year as well, but I wasn’t there, so that doesn’t count……………right?

My bday is the 25th... best present ever last year, of course!!

Well we have all done our part....yelled at games....cheered them on...squabbled here amongst ourselves....Now it's time for the boys to just smash sth or whoever they call themselves.

I get the merit of this but that hit from Long on Simmonds was a dog act. This video lionises it. Yeah I was triggered.

All I asked for my birthday is a Melbourne win. Let’s Go Dees!

Also please Melbourne fans come and be loud! Make noise and get the umpires on our side and lift the boys. We missed out last year and it still hurts. Don’t take this opportunity for granted.

Hope you had a good birthday regardless Jaded. As someone who's birthday usually falls on QB it can be dangerous hoping for a result for birthday happiness.

Will be watching Bailey Fritsch very closely tonight. Last year, his increased physicality and attack on the ball and man from the start of the finals told me that through all levels of the group they knew what was going to be required to win it all, and they were prepared to do it.

It's going to take that level of pressure, and probably more because our opponents are stronger this year, to get it done.

In my mind, if we match or exceed Sydney's pressure around the ball tonight, we win. Wouldn't surprise me if they follow Collingwood's tactic of almost conceding the in close contest to us, to try and harass us and turn us over on the way out. We need to put them under massive pressure whenever they are near the ball to counter this.

It was. I'm sorry rpfc to trigger you on such a big day. I wish I'd dubbed some Dees footage from last year's gf.

Just think of our win.

Interesting that Swans fwd line isn't tall either....they have paps and Heeney...we have Fritta and Milk.

Bbb and Franklin are the big talls.

If Max can go fwd and please God kick true then it could be difficult for the Swannies.

Logan Mcdonald is the one that interests me. Just need to make sure we are doing what we do well very well tonight. As mentioned I think their smalls are going to score on us, that's a given. Must control what we can control.

It's been a while since Anb and Sparticus have kicked bags. Here's hoping along with Kozzie and Jv they add quite a few.

If Max is there at least the ball is marked or on the ground.

Taking my 9yo daughter to her first finals game at the G! Both super pumped.

I've shown her some of the goals (Hannan and Melky) from our 2018 finals campaign and given her a sample of the crowd noise, but nothing beats the sound of it live. I'm getting shivers down my spine just recalling it. Reckon she will have a smile from ear to ear when we kick that first goal!

Can't wait!

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
