Just called the Club. They gave me my barcode numbers over the phone which was great. Also explained my lack of emails - apparently the box for email communication was unchecked. Would explain a few things. But surely you would think this would just get sent out - it's not spam!!!

Yeh I don't buy the excuse about email communication not being ticked on your membership form. I get spammed with every other offer from the club via email so I'm not buying it. Good to hear you got it sorted.

Yet to get my club email, not surprising really I only get about 1/4 of yhe member emails....

I didn't received any of the emails in the lead up to today's barcode emails but luckily I received the important one.

I presume the barcodes stay the same for the entire finals series?

Don't go on Ticketmaster

Is the 12 digit number in the email my barcode or is it the 8 digit member number in the app?

The 12 digit number in the email.

I didn't get the barcode email. I'm sure I will eventually, but, to calm the nerves a little can anyone who has received theirs confirm that they're the same as the ones sent for QB and the NT games?

They are different.

Login to your account on right hand side of the mfc website https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/?utm_source=mfc_website&utm_medium=navigation&utm_campaign=membership22

and you will see the 12 digit barcode number.

Does anyone know if the 10 tickets per member means I can buy tickets for me and 9 non-members, or do all people in the group have to be MFC members?

I asked the club that question today.  Yes, you can.  No they do not have to be members.

This earlier post might be useful when the question was for 7 non-members.

But I'm not sure if you can just select 8 tickets (and you receive all the digital tickets on your phone) or whether Ticketek will ask for their names and phone numbers and they get the sms with their individual digital ticket.  So have their info ready just in case.

Tip:  Type all the info into a Word document, save it thenjust copy/paste the info into Ticketek as needed.  It will save a lot of time.  Ticketek allows only 10 minutes to compete the transaction right through to payment.

It is worth while logging into Ticketek in advance and checking your details and cr card info are up to date.

Still no email from the club, disappointing as I’ve been a member for 18 years. Was able to follow the link provided by @In Harmes Way earlier in the thread (thanks) and locate my barcode. Having dinner and an email drops at 7.15 from the MFC, it contained no barcodes, just letting me know I can purchase general admission from 3pm tomorrow. I understand it’s a busy time of year but last year should of been the test run, or the year they sent the email out and we were beaten by Collingwood in rd 23 and didn’t make it. Bring on 10am tomorrow….

It all seems a bit chaotic to me.

So if a [censored] load of tech savvy 3 game members load up their 10 ticket allocation my long term premium membership might mean SFA ?

For anyone struggling to get your barcode there is another way to get it .

If you go to your apple wallet (or android equivalent).

Select a previous round entry pass.

Your barcode is in your digital membership pass

I'm yet to receive an email from the club and I'm a trident member, so it's a pretty ordinary customer service experience with less than a business hour to get stuff sorted out if I was reliant on the club sorting it for me.

Anyway, regardless, I worked it out for myself. For anyone else that hasn't received an email from the club with your barcode, you can login to your membership account if you have a username and password via https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/. Your barcode will be in there from the membership details tab.

Good luck getting your tickets, Go Dees!

Thanks Bonkers. neither my son or I received the emails with the barcodes. have received all other emails though. Did what you said and now have the barcodes ready for tomorrow. thanks again Go Dees

I personally have 3 memberships for this season. Given that I can buy so many tickets per membership If I get on at 10am I may be able to reverse the whole Ponsford stand.

Honestly, it seems ludicrous to allow one member to buy 10 tickets.

All the good cheaper seats will go to a few. Especially in the areas that I choose to sit, which have limited availability.

A shame that.

Oh well, up in the nose bleed areas.

Possibility that the scalpers may have better viewing seats than the official site.

It’s 10.30 am now according to the tickettek page. It’s changed over night. I’ll still be checking from 10am though.

I totally agree, as a premium member I would of liked an hours grace to get first crack. I’m sure I’ll still get good seats but considering we finished 2nd and we’re playing an interstate team I would have loved to be sitting where I do for our home games.

The Dees vs Syd game is still saying 10.00 AM  to 2.00 PM for MFC Club members.  See below.

Maybe you were looking at the Cats vs Pies game?

I’ve added a photo from the tickettek website that I took this morning. A little confusing but I’ll be on from 09:50. Thanks again for sharing above information L.H, your efforts on here are appreciated by all.
In short I’ve told the site boss where I’m working today I’m stopping at 09:50 and won’t be starting again until I have my tickets….🤣🤣

Very confusing, indeed.

Going on at 9.50 may not help as Ticketek cuts you out after 10 minutes so it leaves little time to do the transaction.  The countdown clock is on the top right of the Ticketek page.

Not sure when Ticketek starts queuing or what happens if people log on before 10.00

This won't be a sell out and not all the good seats will go straight away.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?

After kicking the first goal of the match the Demons were always playing catch up against the Saints in Alice Spring and could never make the most of their inside 50 entries to wrestle back the lead.
