Gawn - couldn’t influence centre

Viney - disappeared after half

Petracca - few clean disposals

Hunt - kept opponent quiet

May - not his fault

Salem -still seemed lacking

Petty - season worst game

Lever - dominated his opponent

Brown - provided a target

Jackson - needed more involvement

Sparrow - was rarely noticed

Hibberd - looked slow tonight

Pickett - poor under pressure

Jordan - couldn’t handle pressure

Langdon - some poor disposal

Neal-Bullen - was rarely sighted

Fritsch - had little involvement

Spargo - unsighted after half

Brayshaw - great first half

Oliver - disposals were amateurish

Rivers - little to commend

Melksham - five minute performance

Joeboy - well balanced summation

This is fair.

Not a meltdown. Not blue sky thinking.

Just an accurate assessment.

Petracca - watch last quarter

There is some absolutely damning vision of him for those that care to review it. Shadow of the player he was last year.

Gawn - take some ownership

ANB - had a gutfull

Koz - Notabig game player (went missing, just like in the GF)

Cant be bothered, livid with those 4 though

Kozzy put the last nail in our coffin.

I believe it was after Brown's goal, we get the ball from centre clearance, Kozzy marks it just outside the fwd 50... Proceeds to butcher the kick to Fritta.

Fritta marks that, we are 7 points in front and gaining momentum.

He needs to be smarter!

ANB - Caught every time

I think Kossie kicked four in one of the finals last year!!

Except when he kicked the goal but was putrid for the rest of the game.

And even then he was almost caught, I was biting my nails until I saw the ball being kicked

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Essendon

It’s Pink Lady night at Princes Park — a vibey Friday evening setting for a high-stakes clash between second-placed Melbourne and eleventh-placed Essendon. The wind-sheltered IKON Park, a favourite ground of the Demon players, promises flair, fire and a touch of pink. Melbourne has never lost a home-and-away game here, though the ghosts of two straight-sets finals exits in 2023 still linger.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven May

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
