Im just wondering if others would concur that it might be prudent to bring in Sylvia and/or Petterd given the track might be heavy and not suit the taller timber ?

PJ would be an obvious candidate for exchange... brings into question Dunn...yes yes..love to see him back but is this the right day ? Or do you retain Dunn and leave out Russian.. ?

just questions !! :-)

PJ doesnt rely on his marking and is good at ground level, so you would say he is a good big man to have in the wet.

I would leave out the Russian if anyone, I just dont think he offers enough around the ground and if it was wet, it would be reduced even further.

Sandilands just poses to be a real problem...

Agreed. I think its better to throw in sylvia or pettard - an in and under player. Sandi will be an issue certainly and i think both white and johnson will be a better combo than Jamar (who can play against less vital or game winning ruckman). I think its inevitable that we will be able to stop sandilands...except if pickett lines him up so i think its important to have our centre square players make sure that there are no freo players in space (a corrodor) who will run on from the tap.

I think we are a real chance in the wet. Not only because of the weather not suiting freos game style but also the fact that we should be able to get plenty of players around the contests.

Im very excited and going tomorrow due to feeling we actually have more of a chance than i thought we might. But to win, davey MUST have a good game. We need smaller players crumming the ball as it will be difficult to mark the ball. I would even open up the 50 with just Dunn, Davey, Green there with Miller playing in the backline. Might even throw C.Johnson into the 50, get the ball to the ground and use the speed on the slower, taller freo players.

Good luck dees

If it stays wet speed and height won't be that important. Clean hands will.

I would leave PJ in; and probably even Jamar, as he will be our best bet against Sandilands whatever happens.

Sylvia, Petterd and Bizzell have all shown clean hands so far this year; and they have the added bonus of being able to find space and keep a cool head.

Go Dees

Dont think CJ is even in the 22 but i agree with bringing in Pettard for Jamar... no need for white pj and Jamar today

my bad. thought cj was in the team

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
