Out: Scott. Has kicked 2 goals this year (10 in 2021), averages 7 disposals (12) and isnt clunking marks like previous years.

Agree but surely they'd have dropped her already if they were ever going to. Maybe her last season - shouldn't play into it, but maybe it does.

Gillard or (it pains me to say) Fitzsimon, depending on opposition.

Scott's been alright. In: Zanker Out: Gillard

Watching the Brisbane V Pies game. Two things

1). Brisbane are going to be very hard to beat next week. They are skilled and fast

2). They are playing with their own umpires at the moment. All the 50/50’s going their way

Just watched the last 2minutes of the 3rd quarter after switching from casey. A bit firey with a number of pies players crudely giving it to Davidson from the lions, shoves while she was on the ground and standing over her etc... Must have missed something earlier but pies rattled and undisciplined. Lions will be a tough opponent next week.

AFLW-listed players who played in Casey's 89-point win over the Southern Saints in the VFLW:

Brown - 13 disposals, 2 marks

Campbell - 1 goal, 7 disposals, 5 hit-outs

Caris - 10 disposals, 25 hit-outs

Gay - 17 disposals, 9 inside-50s

Gillard - 15 disposals, 4 tackles

Lampard - 1 goal, 15 disposals

Magee - 15 disposals, 3 tackles

Parry - 4 goals, 18 disposals, 7 marks

Petrevski - 1 goal, 16 disposals, 6 inside-50s

Tarrant - 20 disposals, 6 marks

West - 19 disposals, 6 clearances, 6 tackles

Zanker in significant doubt. Good to see some of the fringe players had a run at Casey on the weekend.

Was just thinking today she might be a bit underdone anyway...

Still wouldn't bet on it but hope I'm wrong.

Zanker was also the guest on Gus & Gawny this week...live from the Cranbourne Turf club!

Why is Zanker named on the interchange and listed as an out.  Subject to a fitness test?  Gillard listed as an emergency….

good question. why is that?

Should read:

In: Zanker   Out: Gillard

Looking at the mcg parking website, it says gate 6 open at 11am.
I haven’t used gate 6 before - does anyone know if this mean there’s significant parking available?

  • NON-MFC: Round 06

The Easter Round kicks off in style with a Thursday night showdown between Brisbane and Collingwood, as both sides look to solidify their spots inside the Top 4 early in the season. Good Friday brings a double-header, with Carlton out to claim consecutive wins when they face the struggling Kangaroos, while later that night the Eagles host the Bombers in Perth, still chasing their first victory of the year. Saturday features another marquee clash as the resurgent Crows look to rebound from back-to-back losses against a formidable GWS outfit. That evening, all eyes will be on Marvel Stadium where Damien Hardwick returns to face his old side—the Tigers—coaching the Suns at a ground he's never hidden his disdain for. Sunday offers two crucial contests where the prize is keeping touch with the Top 8. First, Sydney and Port Adelaide go head-to-head, followed by a fierce battle between the Bulldogs and the Saints. Then, Easter Monday delivers the traditional clash between two bitter rivals, both desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top end of the ladder. Who are you tipping this week and what are the best results for the Demons?

What were they thinking? I mean by “they” the coaching panel and team selectors who chose the team to play against an opponent who, like Melbourne, had made a poor start to the season and who they appeared perfectly capable of beating in what was possibly the last chance to turn the season around. It’s no secret that the Demons’ forward line is totally dysfunctional, having opened the season barely able to average sixty points per game which means there has been no semblance of any system from the team going forward into attack. Nevertheless, on Saturday night at the Adelaide Oval in one of the Gather Round showcase games, Melbourne, with Max Gawn dominating the hit outs against a depleted Essendon ruck resulting from Nick Bryan’s early exit, finished just ahead in clearances won and found itself inside the 50 metre arc 51 times to 43. The end result was a final score that had the Bombers winning 15.6 (96) to 8.9 (57). On balance, one could expect this to result in a two or three goal win, but in this case, it translated into a six and a half goal defeat because they only managed to convert eight times or 11.68% of their entries. The Bombers more than doubled that. On Thursday night at the same ground, the losing team Adelaide managed to score 100 points from almost the same number of times inside 50.
