A question about ANZAC Eve tickets.

Does anyone know if we get to buy tickets at the same time as Richmond members (it is their Home game) or do we have to wait until sales are open to the public?

I've tried ringing the club but just get a recording to leave a message.

Are you ringing Membership ?

They  are the folk who know these things best not the general Admin.

Conversation from the 'Membership Tally' thread.

@Deefiant  Re membership barcode, you mentioned:  It was emailed with the ticketing info for round 1.  Would you mind giving the date and the title of this email as I have checked all my club emails and don't see a barcode no.

I've checked the Mobile Membership App and my mfc account and can only find a Mbrshp #.

@daisycutter  Re this:   i got a card (decoration only) but it has your membership number on it. don't need a barcode for ticketek, just your membership number.

This is a screenshot from Ticketek and it asks for a barcode.  I'm pretty sure that is what we had to provide for the 2018 finals tickets and last years GF tickets.  There was a whole thread for GF barcodes.

Maybe someone who has bought a reserve seat upgrade can clarify whether Ticketek require member # or barcode #.

I did this last week, Luci. Only the membership number was required.

Thanks.  I assume this was for the Ess game?

Ticketek make it very confusing asking for a 'barcode' number 🤔

No, for the Footscray game. The Essendon game is a whole different Oprah show. One that’s yet to be tackled.
Unrelated: you may or may not receive a flurry of panicked PMs from a clueless [censored] re ticket for the Essendon game. 😁

edit: the censored word starts with “i” and ends with “diot “ It’s not a rude word. I’m trying to rein in my use of profanities since a friend recently told me I make Gordon Ramsay sound like Mary Poppins. 😬

I'll be interested to hear how it goes.  pm's are fine.

Ticket sales for Ess game are open but not sure if this applies to reserve seat upgrades.  Worth a try.

Not sure if you got the membership number/barcode (on ticketek). But mine came in Feb 28, it was titled

"Member access information for Round 1"
At the bottom of the e-mail it has:

Round 1 Ticketing

If you wish to upgrade to a reserved seat on level 1 for the match, you can do so from 2pm Tuesday 1 March.

Simply enter your barcode below into the box provided via Ticketek and upgrade to a reserved seat for Round 1.

Your barcode/s

xxxx

Hope this helps!

Found that email.  I didn't get the barcode info.  I guess being a 'Redlegs' member I already have a reserved seat.

Was the barcode the same as per our membership card last year?

Cheers.

I am not sure if it is the same barcode as last year. I know in other years it has changed. However if you are a reserved ticket holder the barcode will be on the ticket which comes out in a few days. I forgot to write mine down last time  but I will do so this time.

Thanks.  I'm ok with reserved seat barcode.

I'm asking about Ticketek barcodes as I would like to buy tickets for the ANZAC Eve game.  Am hoping we can buy tickets when they are released to clubs rather than a day later when released to the public.

what do people think - N35 or M12 better??

M12 would be real good on the flank.

Anyone else having trouble with MFC app to access tickets? I can’t open the app at all??

I’m probs the last person who should be trying to help you since there’s the likelihood of me only adding to the confusion. But here we are 😃
The $349… Was that through Ticketek? For round one I got tickets through m/ship but I also went through Ticketek (paid for them) so ended up with twice what I required. I rang Ticketek but was told no refund possible. I hope this is not the case for you.  🤞🏼
So there’s that advice (?).
Alternatively, you could seek advice from someone who totally knows what their doing, that being @Lucifers Hero

Remembered that I’m not as qualified as Luci, and probs never will be. 😭

Not sure I can help but will try.

Some suggestions:

Log into your Ticketek account.  It should show what tickets you have.

Assuming you are the account holder for all 6 memberships, check if the barcodes for this week's game have appeared in your mfc app?

As an side, If you have General Admission mfc memberships you only need to go to Ticketek to upgrade for a 'Reserved' seat for a small sum for each.  The GA membership gives entry to the ground and then find seats available.

Yes thanks to all,

I rang enquiries this morning at 9.02, and got through to a young fellow who assured me these were tickets allocated

but at no cost   even the 349 he said was part of my membership fee.

Still not totally sure but I went through the MFC app so there was no apparent connection to Ticketmaster.

So I am hoping he was correct   fingers crossed, also for the game   its been a while since I have come from W'bool for the football live.  though we did win the GF replay in December.

Thanks again Go Dees

Glad to hear it is sorted.

It is a crazy set up with AFL memberships and ticket sales:.

  • Ticketmaster:  Used for Club membership payments but nothing to do with tickets at the G.
  • Ticketek:  the sole ticket seller contractor to the MCG.

Follow these instructions from the club to get into the ground:  https://membership.melbournefc.com.au/member-hub/mobile-ticketing

If you have difficulty with the app or scanning the barcodes at the ground there is a club booth between Gates 3 and 4 to help.

the club sends your tickets to the mfc app 72 hours before game

so, open mfc app, press more (...) on bottom rhs, the press on "mobile membership".

you should see your tickets (may have to wait). then scroll to see if you have all you expected

this gives you ga entry, no need to go ticketek unless you want to upgrade to reserved seats (for a fee)

if you do upgrade make sure you only select asc an mfc member (see luci's notes earlier)

On a Positive note for the Club all Premium Memberships are now sold out only Coterie and Presidents Club available with GFG. Is this a first for our club?

    DEFUSE THE BOMBERS by Meggs

Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill. A first-time venue for the Melbourne AFLW team, this should be a familiar suburban, windy, footy environment for the players.   Essendon were brave and competitive last week against ladder leader Adelaide at Sturt’s home ground. A familiar name, Maddison Gay, was the Bombers best player with

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval. It promises to be keenly contested, though Fremantle is the bookies clear favourite.  If we lose, finals could be remoter than Rottnest Island especially following on from the Dees 50-point dismantlement by North Melbourne last Sunday.  There are 8 remaining matches, over the next 7 weeks.  To Meggs’

    DRUBBING by Meggs

With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    GARNER STRENGTH by Meggs

In keeping with our tough draw theme, Week 3 sees Melbourne take on flag favourites, North Melbourne, at Casey Fields this Sunday at 1:05pm.  The weather forecast looks dry, a coolish 14 degrees and will be characteristically gusty.  Remember when Casey Fields was considered our fortress?  The Demons have lost two of their past three matches at the Field of Dreams, so opposition teams commute down the Princes Highway with more optimism these days.  The Dees held the highe

    ALLY’S FIELDS by Meggs

It was a sunny morning at Casey Fields, as Demon supporters young and old formed a guard of honour for fan favourite and 50-gamer Alyssa Bannan.  Banno’s banner stated the speedster was the ‘fastest 50 games’ by an AFLW player ever.   For Dees supporters, today was not our day and unfortunately not for Banno either. A couple of opportunities emerged for our number 6 but alas there was no sizzle.   Brisbane atoned for last week’s record loss to North Melbourne, comprehensively out

    GOOD MORNING by Meggs

If you are driving or training it to Cranbourne on Saturday, don’t forget to set your alarm clock. The Melbourne Demons play the reigning premiers Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields this Saturday, with the bounce of the ball at 11:05am.  Yes, that’s AM.   The AFLW fixture shows deference to the AFL men’s finals games.  So, for the men it’s good afternoon and good evening and for the women it’s good morning.     The Lions were wounded last week by 44 points, their highest ever los

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week. Practice match form was scratchy for both teams with the Demons losing practice matches to Carlton and Port Adelaide, while the Cats beat Collingwood but then lost to Essendo
