Am i the only one who thinks the girls skills have improved out of sight since the first year of the comp?

Maybe im just blinded by all those lovely Red and Blue goals...

Spotting up targets and delivering very skillfully and educatedly

Out of sight, it’s amazing to see!! Skills, endurance and talking.

Is that 18 out of the last 19 goals in a row to the demons?

'Possession game'. They're surprised? Almost implying skills aren't up to it.

Well, they are now! (except, maybe, still, handballing? But can't have everything!🙂)

We’re looking sensational. First to the ball every time. Very stiff breeze here as well. Reckon the girls will traumatise the doggies just like the men did in the GF

Go you "very vocal Melbourne crowd"!

Knees. Don't like to see that in any team...

How outrageously talented is Daisy Pearce, what a star human.

I’m so grateful that she was part of the AFL Grand Final coverage, not only because her analysis is the best in business but because she is a legend of our club.

Devastating to see that one, what is it with the W and knees.

We need to get another goal here to capitalise with the wind.

Did Selwood or Dangerfield get a run?

Don’t know. Too busy watching out for the space where the gasometer used to be.

Yes. Little bit of blazing away there - credit Dogs for better pressure. Expect Stinnear to be on top of that at 1/2 time - get back to 'our game'.

Im at the ground and the wind is pretty light. Minimal advantage

Who did a knee?

Tayla Harris has been pretty poor so far in terms of intensity and particularly failing to prevent defenders taking intercept marks

Harder to judge her defensive work from the armchair but she has contributed offensively my my viewpoint.

Bulldogs forward, Isabel Huntington. Her third acl 😞

that is, if it is an acl. They just said hopefully it’s only a sprain.

What was all that in the goal square. Yuck! Back to 'your game' girls!

Wind has really picked up now

Started this quarter in a coma.

  • REPORT: West Coast

On a night of counting, Melbourne captain Max Gawn made sure that his contribution counted. He was at his best and superb in the the ruck from the very start of the election night game against the West Coast Eagles at Optus Stadium, but after watching his dominance of the first quarter and a half of the clash evaporate into nothing as the Eagles booted four goals in the last ten minutes of the opening half, he turned the game on its head, with a ruckman’s masterclass in the second half.  No superlatives would be sufficient to describe the enormity of the skipper’s performance starting with his 47 hit outs, a career-high 35 possessions (22 of them contested), nine clearances, 12 score involvements and, after messing up an attempt or two, finally capping off one of the greatest rucking performances of all time, with a goal of own in the final quarter not long after he delivered a right angled pass into the arms of Daniel Turner who also goaled from a pocket (will we ever know if the pass is what was intended). That was enough to overturn a 12 point deficit after the Eagles scored the first goal of the second half into a 29 point lead at the last break and a winning final quarter (at last) for the Demons who decided not to rest their champion ruckman at the end this time around.

  • POSTGAME: West Coast

  • GAMEDAY: West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have a chance to notch up their third consecutive win — something they haven’t done since Round 5, 2024. But to do it, they’ll need to exorcise the Demons of last year’s disastrous trip out West. Can the Dees continue their momentum, right the wrongs of that fateful clash, and take another step up the ladder on the road to redemption?
