Only one game in vic.

Good result for Channels 7 and fox in terms of their coverage.

It's mazing how much a difference crowds make even when watchin on TV

Weirdly though, Ch 7 are only broadcasting two games.

Olympics-related, surely.

Unless games are also on 7Mate?

I think there were only two last week, as well.

Nah, going by AFL site all the games on Sunday are on Fox.

Would think due to Olympics, but still, not great.

@Pennant St Dee - where do the clubs train in WA when staying at Joondalup Resort in "lockdown"?

Edit: Please ignore - I see that it's going to be different now:

Semi-related, but this is FANTASTIC from our sponsor:

And to make their stay even more comfortable, club sponsor Red Bull have already come to the party.

The energy drink giant is arranging the installation of a golf simulator, table tennis tables, video game consoles and even a basketball ring in the corporate spaces inside Optus Stadium.

Winning is the only option despite any adversity we'll face in the coming days.

If you're losing to Gold Coast Suns, you're not making top 4.

Well, we will see how good we are.

We're allowed to train on Optus apparently, so you'd think they'd do that a bit...

Our best chance in 21 years in having a genuine tilt at the flag and we may not get to go to another game in Melbourne.

Pretty peed off , After paying for club  memberships, reserved seats and finals tix priority, for the whole family  two years in a row during tough times which is turning out to be money down the drain

I don't think it's "money down the drain" if it has assisted in putting us in "Our best chance in 21 years in having a genuine tilt at the flag".  Try to look at the big picture ...

Yes I understand the big picture, and  it’s a helluva donation with no discount or compensation from the club for the sacrifice. Times are pretty tough with being laid off from work for a fair chunk of the last two years.

I’m more upset about the possibility of being robbed of the journey and going to the finals games .

Will this be another Cairns disaster?

Flying in on same day & how long to prep for the game at 3pm??? why not a night game to give the players a chance to assimilate  with their environment as Cairns they landed at lunch time and had to play a game in 3hrs!

The script of MFC shafting is coming

I agree with your comment.

You're allowed to be upset and angry that Victorians MFC members (ie - the bulk of us) may miss out on a rare opportunity to see their beloved club play in a finals series.

Hopefully COVID goes away for at least a couple of months and finals will go ahead at the G.

A Perth only finals hub would be the ultimate middle finger to all Victorians who have put up with so much since March 2020.

every club is dealing with FIFO and playing outside their states, such as NSW teams for the past 6 weeks

No more excuses Demons, get it done. win 3 from the last 4, make top 4 and hit finals hard

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
