Picket is an absolute beauty

Mathews still talked him down after that brilliant chase down and goal later on.

He's an absolute gem.

Big captains goal!

Dear Melksham haters. Did you see that kick to Maxy? And the one earlier to Jones? He’s the only one in the team who can make that kick. Yes, he needs to do it more often and needs to apply more ground-level pressure. But he’s elite with delivery. Kicked three goals, too.

Melksham was barely sighted in the first half but he did some very Melksham-of-old things in the second half. Found his feet and if he can start to be that connecting player again he becomes one of our most damaging players.

He played very little of the first quarter and only 69% of the game. That considered, his output was good.

But that's the point we don't kick straight. If you follow your line we are playing the second bottom team today then we should win by 8- 10 goals. Is that correct?

Yep ;)

As a Dees supporter for 54 years, should I now believe? 5 to zip. Not a pretty win, but our guys stumped up when it mattered. Should I dare to believe now?..... Well...I continue to dream. Dad, this might be our year. Love ya. #myheartbeatstrue

2 key players out. The Weed and Browny playing a significant part in the 2's. Surely we can go on from here? I am appealing to the ghost of Norm Smith.

The Red Fox.  Let  it go mate.  We all love you, but it's time.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
