May be gaaaaaaaawn.

Took a flying swing at Nigel Lappin late in the third quarter against the Lions. Looked to me like a blatant attempted trip.

As it happens it looked like he hyper-extended his ankle in a similar way to Brock and went off in a bad way.

Ironic

Edit: Has come back on and looks alright.

Attempted trip means jack squat. He'll play against us.

No, actually there is a new rule this year that means attempted trips will be dealt with more harshly this year. And rightly so, its a disgusting part of the game. He may be in some trouble.

Would you say they were worse, better or the same as us?

Or does all s#%t look the same to you?

Doubt it. Eyes only for the ball. A gentle open hand slap that was an accident he apologised for immediately. Head contact could make the AFL take notice, and it's probably a bit hairier than wreckers, but still shouldn't get rubbed out.

Knowing our luck, they'll ping wrecker for his accident where he came off worse, and let the Pav off.

How dare Ball try and injure another player by headbutting him...

pretty simple plan with hawthorn...

rough up buddy in the opening few minutes, before the bounce even, he'll drop his head everytime someone comes near him, play carroll on him, with rivers coming in from the side, wont get a go!!!

mcg, day time, byron back in (watch davey have a pearler), rivers back in, maybe sylvia too

Well I am glad I had the option of going to the Swans Eagles game then......

That would have been great Demonstorm, what is he up to now (sorry if that is a totally ignorant question)?

We went back to the Swans function after the game up here and they were pretty desolate, but honestly I don't think Brett Kirk could be any cooler if he tried.

And I realised how that sounded but I have met him a few times now over the years and he is a genuinely great bloke.

You should read his speech from the Guernsey presentation dinner - fantastic stuff - would be good for Demons as well

Its just a pity they lost, but you always get your moneys worth :P !!!

Will whelan play ? If not can CJ or Belly keep the shotgun under control?

Hopefully Bell gets some time on Williams. Firstly, Williams isn't going great, Bell could use the confidence, and he played well on him in the NAB cup, for whatever that's worth.

The last time we tried that tactic against Hawthorn we lost to them by 7 goals when they were bottom of the ladder at the time. (2005).

We always come off second best when ever we try to rough the opposition up. We're just not a tough nasty team.

I think there is every justification to test out Franklin's mettle. As a footballer his very silky and talented on the downhill stuff. He needs to physically challenged in the contest.

Loads of ability but not convinced on his toughness of character and strength of application.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
