Ward's disposal yesterday was terrible in the style of game the MFC is trying to play their is no room in the 22 for him, he just turns the footy over a large percentage of the time. The only way I would play him is if we have to due to injury or he gets a job on someone. You just can't have someone in your team that consistantly turns the footy over, this goes for Nathan Brown as well, I'd rather see Bell, CJ and Buckley play than Ward and Brown.

Im not saying Ward is the same type of player BTW, Im just of the opinion he is a better footballer and his positives outweigh the negatives.

Go Wardy.

Ward is a better footballer than who, Godfrey? Yes. Bell? No.

Bell has two things Ward doesn't, defensive ability and good disposal.

Ward's main redeeming quality is his pace, but he is mainly a 'run and bomb it as far as you can' player.

He makes my side until Bartram is fit.

One thing is certain, I would hate to see more than one of Ward/Brown/Bizzell in the backline at any one time.

I know who played well and bad at geelong because i went.

i had to sit there for three hours sorrounded by cats so i was watching.

robbo: played well but alot of stupid things kicked a great goal though:

tried alot of chess marks in stead of hand marks but he did play well.

Johnston : "BOG"

C Johnson: he really played well in my book and if he plays like that he'll be in their best 22

Davey : C R A P. played the worst game ever. tried a speckey which cost them a goal, he jumped 2 seconds to early

Moloney : Certainatly played one of the best for Melbourne, made bartel look crap (even though he had a good game)

Ling (geelong) : worst game ever i saw him hit 2 kicks on the chest and they were pretty much both dropped so it made him look him even worse.

Neitz: pretty well just a bit shy , 2 goals

Ward, whelen and N jones all played acceptional

well gota keep an eye on them

GOOO THE DEMONS

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
