Cox and May incidents virtually identical.  May gets a week at the Tribunal.  Cox gets off...downgraded to a fine...

We should be so lucky!

It ain't luck, baby...It's fu.k.ng bul.[censored].

Cox says he was bracing for contact and the tribunal say he wasn't looking at the victim. He was looking at the victim alright and collected him. Cox was bracing for contact because he knew the 'target ' was coming. Target duly goes down.

Bit soft really but the initial decision to suspend was probably correct. Why should anyone be surprised about the backflip. The AFL is totally corrupt!!!!

And for a long time PD.  I have very little regard for it any longer.  All outcomes such as these are manufactured / massaged / tampered with to ensure the big names and favoured clubs receive special treatment and aren't impacted to the degree of us lessor lights.  They are given a huge advantage when all the favouritism is added up over the season/s, including the FIXture.

This has been going on since the old  zone days in the late 60s when the initial idea was for each club to share the zones equally and change to a new zone over rolling 3 year periods (or thereabouts) until certain clubs in the then VFL realised they were on a winning zone vs the others.  They then reneged on the initial agreement and voted to keep their initial zones.  The result was the clubs thats kept the better zones got the cream of the crop over many years and built themselves a dynasty while the rest got the scraps and ended up the poor cousin as a result.

The cheating is and has been embedded and rusted on from VFL days and continues through to this very day.

If we won't do it...why would anyone else ?

Lets face it.
He's a big boy and should be able to look after himself.

By the way, I notice Clarkson is seeking clarification on a number of decisions made against his precious side on the weekend. No one calls him out for bleating.

Squeaky wheels get the oil.
Eddie knows this well too.

Tribunal must make their decisions with a dart board.

Just wanted, on behalf of Brayshaw Boys and T Bugg to extend my heartless thanks to the "old farts club" at Fox, and the rest of the BS  thoughtless Media fraternity, for celebrating (yes CELEBRATING is among the words being used) the return of W C's A Gaff.

I cant see any difference between May and Cox incidents other than Cox is a popular player, being an American.

Spot on!

But while the AFL will never admit they got it wrong ( like the AFLW season and its conference system) I think the next Melbourne player to front the tribunal will have a "more favourable" decision go their way as pay back.

Gaff is a great player who made an awful mistake and paid dearly for it. Vilifying him for the remainder of his career does nothing for anyone, especially since Brayshaw himself has clearly moved on and has forgiven him.

Don’t think it works that way.

They're making a statement to May...  and an example with May.

May is quite casual about putting on heavy hits that wound.  IMO, that was the difference...  although he missed the head.   should have been fined for rough play.  end of story.

Agreed,  the surrounding circumstances make it more understandable.

Pressure will be on the tribunal to be consistent if Cox appeals. Very similar to the May incident.

Classic example of the value of Christian to theFilth's interests. Different team, different result. All is happy. Poor guy, Cox, didn't have a correct baptism to Aussie rules. Now, who does he play for? XXXXXXXXX - your kidding?

I'll put it in clearer English next time.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
