The thing I find most distressing is that every article that I have read states how many games he has played in his career.  172?  It's criminal to think that he's played that many.

And we turned him into Bayley Fritsch.   Good times.

Many here are missing the point!  Idiots who let themselves get filmed doing this stuff deserve what gets thrown at them.  Personally Ido not give a rats what he does in his private time, however, there is an issue here about behaviour towards women.  It’s a bad look and society is trying to change attitudes like this.  Lesson 101 do not get filmed!!!!

how is this an attitude towards women issue? she was consenting to it all. so its just 2 people having a bit of fun on the Oktoberfest. Its people like you that make this PC ridiculous culture we're in.

So true. He is on holidays

that is a nice way to spend it

people are laughing and having fun

CHILL THE F$&@ OUT PEOPLE....

The Port forums are a thing of beauty. They are finding it really difficult to determine which year ‘last October’ falls under, October 2017 or October 2018.

The conversation is really engrossing, but I still walk away confused by them.

Ive had my fair share of fun in my 60 years pal!  I bet if you ask that girl whether she was having fun, the answer might surprise you.  People like me pal may just have seen more of life than you.  The difference was, I was never stupid enough to be filmed.  If you don’t get the bad look issue, you never will.

Yes for Jack to allow this to be filmed on a smartphone is just beyond stupid, and he will cop whatever he gets.

As i said earlier, i was blessed to be young before the technology was available.

You can’t do anything now with any privacy.

How much further will it go??

How could she be having fun, only men like sex, poor women they are forced by men to doing anything that involves anything sexualized, yes us men force them to do these things, no way no women would ever what a man to touch them, he must of forced her. The job of these women is to encourage men.

Whatever your value judgement on the incident, the majority of people including AFL footballers would not behave this way. Watts can now say it "looks bad". Yes it does, but he did it.  Whatever the substance, Jack looks the worse for wear.  Was the waitress consenting ? She was not objecting, but do you think she was getting a lot of fun out of it? I suspect not, but a bunch of Aussie lads on holiday (as if that makes any difference) wanted to have a bit of fun at the expense of the waitress.

Its demeaning and sexist.

The majority of men including AFL players would not have behaved this way.  Its not Jack Trengove, a team mate and friend of Watts.

Watts is clearly a party boy who likes the social limelight but lacks the commitment and discipline to be a top footballer.

But we are not talking about football, but an attitude and action that is inappropriate and ill disciplined whoever the person be and another case of men behaving badly towards women.

The fact that Watts says it looks bad, simply means "he looks bad." It's all about him.

What about the young woman? Any reference or apology . No of course not. I forgot, she was obviously having fun.

Absolutely Sir, as are all the "opinion pieces" on this site.

My first line referred to the words value judgement.  Each to their own.

I do object to the excuse that it's all just a bit of fun.  That's opinion as well.

c'mon wyl, you can't have it both ways, you have complained loudly before how bad culture at a football club shouldn't be tolerated and it's not as though jack has a lot of credits in the bank

Your use of the words majority and minority i find interesting.

I can assure you having been there, albeit a long time ago, the majority of both Males and Females at Oktoberfest were getting right off on having fun.

Not like what is now allowed in Victoria

Sad really. Having fun is being outlawed slowly, just like Orwell said it was going to be

He is not doing anything wrong. It’s during the holidays

the AFL should shut up during the off season. There lies the real problem

She looked so bored, It was probably  the 20th time she had done it that day for the annoying tourists.  And I bet she makes a killing from it too.

More power to the lass.

I am obviously a dag, as Oktoberfest and fun are antonyms to me.  My standards are not that high but they would preclude me from going to this drunken swill and putting my nose between a girls breasts!

If a Male did that to my daughter or wife I would break his nose.

so culture is like a tap, huh?

wonder why jack said he was embarrassed for his parents and sister if it was just a question of fun

now that's the most disingenuous post today.

Ahh yes. You see I preferred “Clockwork Orange” whilst you were watching “The Sound of Music”

The Standardised AFL doorstop apology...

”Say this Jack...”

Seen it all before and had to cut videotape stories on the same apologies.

It shouldn’t have been filmed.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
