Melb, GC & Freo scenario;

OUT - Hogan, Pick 41(Freo), Pick 14 & 2019 MFC First Round (GC), Tyson & Frost (GC),

IN - Pick 5, May, KK, Pick 26 (from GC), Ed Langdon,

Melbourne to try and get Tom Langdon from the Pies.

You’re off your head. Your trade scenarios are the best.

Is there any merit to the rumour of Hogan for pick 6 and 14? Or just hypothetical

It's all hypothetical at this moment 'lad !

Although some of the posts I've read seem more like hypofantasy.

Apparently clubs want future 1st rounders rather than current firsts because this years draft really falls away after pick 6 or 7.

I hope all those posters who banged on about 2019 being the super draft, pay attention to this line. I know they won't. Next year will become the new, deep super draft.

We spent the weekend trying to convince the uncontracted vandenBerg to stay.

We haven't been trying to talk the contracted Hogan into staying.

The difference is palpable.

We want May and are happy to say goodbye to Hogan.

Open a new Word document and it's right there.

I think it’s on the same page as Melbourne Premierships since 1965.

But we didn't win one in 65.

I don't think it has anything to do with Hogan at this point. Freo and the MFC are running the game at present.

tonight, night, darkness

In some places it is light late into the evening like Norway for example. So it doesn’t have to be dark to be evening or night.

This has derailed our attempt to get Steve May.

Club are extremely frustrated with Jesse - they have gone ahead to negotiate with Freo.

Seems as though for the first time in a while we are going to be involved in the deal that holds up the whole workings of others.

Pretty sure it all hangs on the Lachie Neale deal. Holding everything up.

Hogan won’t declare he is leaving in case the deal falls through and he ends up at Melbourne for another year.

There is Norway the Hogan trade gets done tonight.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
