Congrats to those who are going to perth or buying up tickets!!!

I'd rather be up a level but beggars can't be choosers.

At least at Optus you're raised up off the ground anyway when on level one.

I usually like to sit 1 level up too but I sat on the wing 13 rows back in Round 22 and they were superb seats.

Pro tip for those on the 140s side. It will be bathed in sunshine if not cloudy and with 25 degrees forecast you will need a hat, sunnies and sunscreen.

Hmmmm order confirmed, credit card charged but tickets not emailed and no order history yet....is this normal?

Yes, it can get quite baking hot on that side.

Slip. slop, slap for certain.

i checked all the myriad weather sites. max temp varied from 20c to 25c. all said partly cloudy, low wind. Some said low chance (10 to 40%) of light rain but late in the day. sounds similar to our round 22 game in perth

For Ticketmaster yes. It will show up eventually. Happens every time I buy a ticket for any type of event using Ticketmaster.

Thankyou! This whole process has aged me 15 years

Round 22 said partly cloudy and 20-22 and it looked like this.

Section across the ground is the 140s bathed in sunshine.

We got through. 511 for us. Can’t bloody wait!

We are in 511 row 3.  4 of us coming. At least we won’t be alone

I'm Level 3 section 333.....hopefully this forward flank/pocket is all Demons sections 333 and 334. These are category 1 tickets and about the best seat in the place.

Bought them at Greensborough newsagency. Lined up with all the Collingwood and Richmond supporters. At 10.30 they announced all sold out! Some very unhappy people there then....and outside a whole mob lined up in the carpark for the 2pm public sale!

As soon as the ferals were sold out we (me and the one other Melbourne supporter) waltzed down to the front of the line,  after being cleared by the shopping centre security as real Melbourne members (no trackie dacks), and allowed to wait at the sale point for 11am to arrive.

I was actually pleased that we were going to Perth...for the first time.

As we were casually having the operator find the best seats for us at Optus stadium a ruckus erupts in the car park when the AFL announces the have suspended the 2pm public sale.

We ran out of there!

just watch he doesn't pay you in counterfeit money or dubious substances. uncle bitters will attest to his "entrepreneurial" habits

It's a great stadium (though the inhabitant aren't ideal).  Optus, along with the new Adelaide Oval seem to be great places for football and spectators.  Puts the Docklands Stadium to absolute shame and shows what a bit of creativity can do.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
