Sounds like the only change we will make might be a mid in for a half forward (eg. Tyson for Hannan).  Rightly, Vanders is still a few weeks away, but clearly they still rate him and think he can have an impact for our side going forward.

Can't wait for the game on Saturday night!

Gee he talks...it's just words...compete...it's do or die, bloody press conferences, where coaches spout inanities.. see ball get ball etc etc our time is now, no passengers, if we loose, it never really hurt them...

WTF does this even mean " Goodwin: As a club, we’re starting to expose ourselves to these situations. "

He is saying pragmatically, the more exposure to 'finals' pressure games the better we get at them... and that is only good for the playing list to 'learn' how to play and experience it directly. That's WTF he meant by that.

Staggering that Goodwin would use words in a press conference. What was he thinking.

I'm staggered that we need to have the same conversation on this topic every week.

Give the script to Marcel Marceau. That'll be entertaining

Sick of the these bloody words. Every press conference he just keeps talking.

If he doesn't express his views via interpretive dance next week then I say we look for a new coach.

Haha! I’ve always been a hater of Barrett, I reckoned he’s mellowed this year and has been quite positive on Dees for a change!

Interpretive dance would work.

lighten up!  He might hate it as much as you do.  It is part of the job.  If he chooses to use ‘words’ to say as little as possible, then I’m ok with that provided they win.

I wood say that means, we as a group are starting to actively seek/desire the bigger challenges:  to take them head on:   instead being a bit sheepish about the bigger power clubs.

We are starting to lose the mental hangover; after being a beaten down Club.  And Goody is right.

We won't lay down any more, with this current culture building within the Mf club;  at the moment.

The words are not for the players; they are for the supporters and interested people. even opponents.

It's the players who are starting     to set the tone on-field,,, following all the coaches and assistant coaches since Roosy.

He's relaying where we are at to those who care.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
