I reckon they want to play both.

Garlett won’t be around forever, so I think you’re on to something here!

One of the things I like about Hannam is that he accelerates into contact and uses his body to impact the opposition.

For some reason his movement, snaps and leap reminds me of Gary Ablett Snr... which can only be good.

That’s actually not too far of a comparison to make, you and the ‘taller player’ comment by @faultydet are great observations!

Probably needs to bulk up a little ... Mitch Hannan the poor man's Gary Ablett Snr.

Dead set freakiest of freaks. I’ve always maintained that Ablett and Carey are the only two players I would pay to go and see if Melbourne weren’t playing

And to think that Yablett Junior is as good or even better.

I saw Mitch this arvo at my local supermarket. I nearly knocked into him in the fruit and veg. Every isle i turned into he was there. Honesty, I wasn't following him.

Libba jnr was there as well. Fortunately they didn't go into the chemist's across the road together

Well done to Mitch. Took his opportunity with both hands and was a key factor in the win that got us to the finals for the first time in 12 years.   13 touches, 6 marks, 3 goals, great pressure and almost a couple of huge grabs.

Wouldn't be surprised if he gets votes from the coaches.   A dangerous player who will only get better.   ?

Did not think he had it in him, but he was absolutely instrumental in that win.

Him, Melksham and Hibbo as Ins absolutely won us the game.

Weids also more than held his own.

So glad we have this bloke locked up.....  he is such an X factor and he has shown he can deliver in big moments and big games.  Love watching him play.

I wonder IF we should term it Locked ON... rather than locked In, or Locked Up?

Very tidy, Handgun Hannan, very tidy indeed. Keeps his feet in a contest, quick along the ground, can take hangers, tackles and harrasses, kicks all types of goals.

What more could you ask for from Handgun, both he and Fritta are prime examples of the schrude trade business we have completed around our close range picks.

Hannan a poor man G.Ablett snr, perhaps Petracca is the poor man's A.Jakovich, T.Mac the poor man's W.Carey. We have lots of poor man's whatevers but overall who cares as long as we keep winning.

Has been a great addition since coming to the Dees, to average a goal per game is not bad considering how many other forward options we have ATM.

What a silly post! Lots of poor mans? ?

We don’t have any poor mans! They are there own player in there own right.

A canny VFL pick up.  Mitch, Bayley and I wonder if we have one in mind this year....

It would be great if it could be C. Wagner.

  • Thank You Simon Goodwin

As Demon fans, we’ve ridden a rollercoaster of emotions over the decades; the heartbreaks, the near misses, the wooden spoons, and the endless waiting. But through it all, we clung to hope. And then came Simon Goodwin. Before he ever wore red and blue, he was a champion in his own right. A five-time All-Australian, two-time Best and Fairest, and two-time premiership hero and Captain with Adelaide, Simon Goodwin was always destined to lead. When he transitioned from the field to the coach's box, first as an assistant at Essendon, he began shaping a new legacy.
