Watts is back to the old Watts. He's been terrible. Soft, slow and not switched on.

Watts really has been insipid.  When Hannan kicked his goal watts literally walked to congratulate him.  There seems to be no enthusiasm in this team today.

I don't usually post on a gameday thread, but I'm compelled to do so.

Bugg and Wagner are bog ordinary.  Jack Trengove must truly be the pits if he can't get a game ahead of Bugg.  Billy must smell too.

Tyson has no poise under pressure.

Tom McDonald isn't a forward's a-hole.  A couple of times mid game it's worked sending him forward, but Goodwin is a slow learner if he thought it was worth trialling in a second game.

We used to be able to play some quality tempo footy, but that's now a distant past.

Having the McDonald's and Frost as your key defenders is ulcer-inducing.

We may come back and win this game, but we're a long way off being a quality football side.

I get the feeling they dring their own bathwater down at the club and Macca is expert at stating our list is the manna from heaven, but one can't help but feel they're way too satisfied with what's around the corner.  Forget the frigging corner and worry abou the next bloody contest.

Watching at a lovely hostelry n the city, myself and lovely lady reading this, absolutely beats the NFL half time extravaganza  hands down

Saty don't blame fed up supporters, they have every right to be angry with the garbage served up in the first half by their team. It was trash.

Might get howled down for this, don't care.

Oliver needs to kick the ball more and handball less. Sure his handballs are quick, but their effectiveness has dropped off remarkably. The game is called football, not handball.

No howling from me. I dont rate Oliver anywhere near as highly as others. Sure he gets lots of the ball but they are all rubbish little handballs to go nowhere or to someone 30cm away who is under usually more pressure than he is under.

At least Clarry gets in there and busts his behind, dont care that some of his handballs are errant. If we had a team that played to his intensity I can bloody guarantee we wouldnt be the rabble we are now. 98% of the team could learn something from a KID.

Close to our No.1 issue - Z E R O leadership

I say it regularly and many shout me down.

But it is the core of the problem.

Watts is woefully out of form.

And totally lacking confidence.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
