We've beaten them heaps of times since then...

Probably the only club that hasn't "had the wood" over us over the past decade.

If anything, those assaults highlighted how flaky we were. 

Why didn't Ox or Neita fly the flag? How would have Simmo or Greeny would have felt after being left out to dry?

Some on here STILL condemn Hawthorn for refusing to get bashed up by Essendon during the Line in the Sand game. How dare they not stand by while 1st year teammates get poleaxed and intimidated? It's not like it did them any good. They got smashed in that game I got told...:pj:

A couple of them was before the game even started. Long's was one of the most cowardly acts I've ever seen on a football field.

Schwarz did fly the flag. He body slammed Hird. It was one of the more memorable things to occur that day. Maybe he knew something that was going to happen 13 years later!
