Probably because he beat his opponent(s) hands down.

As OD rightly acknowledges...HE had the ball , they didn't. Supposed to tackle himself ?

    He couldn't kick it more than 25 metres and when he did it went 25 metres straight up and put whoever he was near under pressure.....he was forgettable in every way but how bad he was. Hence why he sticks in my mind whenever I see a poor kick of he footy

    When I read "Simon" I immediately expected the next word to be Godfrey. I suspect most of Demonland was the same.

    Yes, Neal-Bullen has had some poor execution. But for the first time I can remember he's being played on ball and getting heaps of it. I'd like to see him persisted with a bit longer to allow him to build the confidence that comes with not worrying about being selected. Then, if he still butchers the ball too frequently we may need to replace him.

    The Adelaide/North fortnight scares me in terms of their potential ruck dominance, but the other three don't worry me as much.

    What we need from our stand-in rucks is to just do enough to stop the opposition mids smashing us at clearances.

    Has anyone noticed that after Gawn and Spencer went down, for the next quarter and a half of Watts rucking the team actually did better? This isn't because of Watts's ruck supremacy (!!), but that somehow Watts being in the mix at stoppages actually helped with clearances, at least until he tired. So maybe by spreading the load it might be possible to do this for longer.

    Generally our best (least worst) option would be a mix of Watts, Pedo, Frost, maybe even T-Mac. Even though they get smashed in hit-outs, those players may help us at least break even at clearances. But against the top flight rucks of Crows & North, this strategy simply won't cut it.

    That's when we might have to consider King as the better (less worst) option. He will have had another couple of Casey games by then, with Greg Stafford working with him intensively at training on finding a way of competing that allows him only to nullify his opponent. If Greg Stafford can't work this out, then it can't be done. But if we can keep hit-outs-to-advantage of Goldstein & Jacobs down to under 20, it's a win for us.

    Dangerous going tall at Etihad, I reckon. We ran St Kilda off their feet, because they carried too many talls. Much prefer to go small, as long as we have someone (Frost) to play on Daniher.

    Harmes for Bugg seems fair on form

    JKH - Considering his run of injuries he's doing ok. He has talent but needs time. 

    Pedersen is borderline AFL

    Jones and Viney need to lift 20%

    They'll  win this for Jesse Hogan

    People on here under rating Hogan need to seek serious help.

Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

      Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
