Still OOC at the end of the year. Vic boy. Brother plays for Collingwood.

Still 20 yrs old. Would be a good option as he possesses great speed and goal sense through the midfield. Something we need when our only ball carrier with genuine speed is Hunt

Worth a look 100% for the right price.

I guess with Brad Hill coming to play with his brother Stephen, and with an ageing Danyle Pearce still serviceable, Langdon is surplus to needs.

I know he's fast, but I'm not certain he has the cleanest skills.

FWIW here's Langdon's draft profile from AFL.com.  Think what he has shown so far for Freo reflects what his strengths and weaknesses were as a junior.

I'd be ok with acquiring if we parted ways with JKH (through trade) at years end, otherwise I'd be looking elsewhere.

I like him, but not convinced he's clearly better than Kennedy or Kennedy-Harris.

Agree with Chaser, in that if someone went out he could come in. Otherwise for the price to get him -  mid to late 2nd or early 3rd I think we'll have other priorities.

He's got the type of attributes we need, and he wouldn't cost much. But he seems like an "in-between" type of small forward who may well end up just doing well for Casey.

I'm all in favour of regularly trying out unloved C-graders from other clubs (e.g. Michie, BenKen, Newton), on the grounds that one of them one day might make the big leap up to become A-grade. Let's face it, you don't trade players like this in because you need another C-grader; it's because you hope that one of them will thrive in a different environment, or given a better chance. It's just that the hit rate isn't all that high. Almost all the time, you do end up with just another C-grader.

On the other hand, trying to find the "next" Isaac Smith is going to cost a whole lot less than the "real" Isaac Smith.

I think he has some ability but it really depends what we'd have to give up, if it were a swap for a third round pick i'd probably look at it.

I haven't seen enough of him to be swayed either way. Averaging 16 disposals a game this year, and is only 20 years of age.

If the price is right then why not.

Itd be nice if this bloke learnt how to man up. He must think social distancing applies on the footy field

You're having a big night, aren't you? Might be time to pop off to bed. Langdon wasn't our worst tonight. Reckon he was probably in our top 5 or 6.

From what I saw on TV, Langdon was trying to work hard..unlike many others.

He was [censored] last night, but he has been good. I was at the game on Sunday vs Brisbane and genuinely noticed how important he was in blocking space on the wing and stopping that easy transition we have been so susceptible to in the past.

    HIGHLIGHTS/LOWLIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Melbourne traveled across the continent to take on the Fremantle Dockers in sweltering conditions at Mandurah south of Perth in a game that delivered the club both its highlight and its lowlight in the first minute.  But first, let’s start by doing away with the usual cliches used in connection with the game. It was just a practice match and the result didn’t matter. Bad kicking is bad football. The game was played in severe heat, the swirly breeze played havoc with both teams resulting in

    TRAINING: Friday 28th February 2025

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers headed down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you their observations from today's training session before the Demons head off to Perth for their final Practice Match. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning, not much wind, more than a couple of dozen spectators.  The players were up and about, boisterous and having fun. One of their last drills were three teams competing in a hard at it, handball game in a small area. Goody

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
