Not sure if this has been posted yet but here is Quayle's article on two of our brightest stars. Hard not to get excited about these two, especially now that Brayshaw is finding his form from last year. Both bring different things to the table: Petracca that X factor and Angus that consistent, hard work rate and ability to find the ball. Very important to our future.

Together at last: Christian Petracca and Angus Brayshaw

Emma was the only football/media personality to tip us for a win this weekend (and by ten points)! She is a "Legend"!

Looking for a big game from Bayshaw today. He has had good moments the last 2 weeks but hadn't hit his straps. With a couple of weeks to find the pace I think he'll be on today.

What I'm looking forward to this weekend is not just Petracca and Brayshaw, but when they join Viney and Oliver for the first time.

Lucky that the Hawks colours are the same as wees and poos!

I thought Petracca broke his toe?

Article mentions "fractured ankle":

"He knows you can't partake in pre-season dunking contests against your dog, because you'll fracture your ankle and make your coach extremely unhappy."

I've sometimes wondered if it's worth having a "Melbourne in the Media" forum where threads like this can be moved once they are finished with on the main forum. An archive of sorts so we can track this generation from the very start.

Emma is a hero.   Once again shows why shes one of the very few footy journos worth reading.  Knows her footy back to front!

Hopefully they will stay together.

Anyone hear the troll Hawthorn supporter purporting to be a Melbourne supporter who rang the radio station to say that Hawthorn were already into Petracca. They apparently have had talks with his management re coming over to Hawthorn once his initial contract finishes.

I hate Hawthorn supporter expectations that they will just keep topping up on other teams good players and keep winning finals.

Even if that were true the MFC hold all the cards. They would simply tell Hawthorn to take a running jump off the nearest pier.

On top of that why would he want to join a club on the way down?

giggled like a giddy schoolgirl reading this article (my girlfriend insists i have a thing for brayshaw). so psyched for the future and stoked that the game on saturday gave us a peek into what we can expect over the coming years. it's all gonna be worth the wait :)

Picks 2 and 3 in 2014 and picks 4 and 9 in 2015 all playing in the same game for the first time.

And it resulting in a win over the reigning premiers.

You've got to love the direction this club is heading.

Well the magic recipe is obviously those 4 together but also Jesse not playing.

Solution: keep Jesse on the list but don't let him on the ground.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
