fwiw, cal twomey believes that kalani white is 'leaning' towards joining the mfc rather than gc17

he also said that he expects him to be - at this very early stage of the year - outside the top 25 prospects in this year's draft crop

obviously very early days

job security beats winning any day (joking😀 )

Seriously though I think GCS are set at most positions for the time being based on what I saw on Saturday

Where in the pecking order, and over the following 2-3 Y, would he be at GC$ vs MFC?

Don't they also have a busload of academy picks to find room for this year too? Kalani might be low on their priorities.

Yep. I reckon it would be 50/50 they could even take him at this stage given their key position depth.

Much smarter that he chooses the Dees at this point given the ages of our key backs and rucks.

Who will he be playing for this year? Interested to keep some tabs and see how he is tracking along.

Will play for the allies in the U18 champs I’d assume

Oh right. Any word on how he looked?

From what I heard a pretty standard game. Nothing flashy just solid.

four, of which white is one

at least two of which are regarded as possible top five picks, with the younger uwland brother a likely pick #1

handy for some...

The AFL want strong Queensland teams so they will love that.

Will create opportunities of players potentially moving back to VIC…. Need to be ready

Fair enough. Is he playing back still or moving to a forward/ruck role?

Witts 32 , Moyle, Reid and Knobel.

Gawn and Campbell both 33.

That I’m not sure about, assuming he played back but obviously it’s been said this year he wants to be put in the ruck and forward. We’ll get a better look come the allies game and if he cracks into the vfl side.

Yeah Kalani will be at the Dees then.

Why would he come to us? Basket case

This is why Goodwin needs to go stat

I’ll keep saying it - external independent review top to bottom

Nothing off the table

Any report on how he went today?

Match reports didn't have him in the best for what it's worth.

Good, come to us as a Rookie.😳

I'm not as sold on Kalani as others, but if he comes to us I hope I'm completely surprised. Did watch him in last year's championships and was underwhelmed. However, he's a slightly built tall and will definitely take time.

I hope we get him for cheap RTG. If the potential is there. You would know more than me. I’m going of what is said on DL

  • REPORT: Brisbane

“Max Gawn has been the heart and soul of the Dees for years now, but this recent recovery from a terrible start has been driven by him. He was everywhere again, and with the game in the balance, he took several key marks to keep the ball in the Dees forward half.” - The Monday Knee Jerk Reaction: Round Ten Of course, it wasn’t the efforts of one man that caused this monumental upset, but rather the work of the coach and his assistants and the other 22 players who took the ground, notably the likes of Jake Melksham, Christian Petracca, Clayton Oliver and Kozzie Pickett but Max has been magnificent in taking ownership of his team and its welfare under the fire of a calamitous 0-5 start to the season. On Sunday, he provided the leadership that was needed to face up to the reigning premier and top of the ladder Brisbane Lions on their home turf and to prevail after a slow start, during which the hosts led by as much as 24 points in the second quarter. Titus O’Reily is normally comedic in his descriptions of the football but this time, he was being deadly serious. The Demons have come from a long way back and, although they still sit in the bottom third of the AFL pack, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel as they look to drive home the momentum inspired in the past four or five weeks by Max the Magnificent who was under such great pressure in those dark, early days of the season.

  • CASEY: Southport

The Southport Sharks came to Casey. They saw and they conquered a team with 16 AFL-listed players who, for the most part, wasted their time on the ground and failed to earn their keep. For the first half, the Sharks were kept in the game by the Demons’ poor use of the football, it’s disposal getting worse the closer the team got to its own goal and moreover, it got worse as the game progressed. Make no mistake, Casey was far and away the better team in the first half, it was winning the ruck duels through Tom Campbell’s solid performance but it was the scoreboard that told the story.

Just a game and percentage outside the Top 8, the Demons return to Melbourne to face the Sydney Swans at the MCG, with a golden opportunity to build on the momentum from toppling the reigning premiers on their own turf. Who comes in, and who makes way?
