Why does anyone believe anything that they hear/read in the media ... or on forums?

I suppose that is what I'm trying to get at. What is the point of his constant statements about it? Adelaide won't change tact or strategy just because of his whining.

Campaigning for the future removal of the restricted form of FA.

He's not working in Danger's best interests now, he's thinking of easing the movement of other clients in future.

Just bums (paying) on seats, aren't we....

Talking about Parker now....

Apparently moves have been made towards Parker but he has no interest in leaving the Swans.

Looking at staying at Sydney with the possibility of signing a contract extension before the end of next year.

If the Tigers want Tyson they can give us Pick 12 & Griffiths. Otherwsie not interested.

I'd probably rather keep Tyson if that were their offer.

Oh dear..

Connors is such a [censored], imploring Adelaide to accept the compensation and let Dangerfield go.

Just let the clubs handle it.

i don't understand his attitude

client is rfa and adelaide perfectly within their rights to match offer......them's the rules

what happens then is a diiferent scenario and really outside of fa. it is essentially back to the old ooc status

to avoid the matching offer the cats could always up their offer....that's their choice and it is a market, but they want their cake and eat it

it would also suit connors to get more loot for his client (commission)

anyway i'm sure crows aren't taking advice from connors. it's between carlton and crows i'd say

What about Craig Bird? Is Bird the word?

Why do people up trade scenarios?

I presume the missing word is dream. If so I ask the same question each year. Different strokes and all that and I applaud the effort to hypothesise deals that are out of all but the club's control, but I don't get it either.

What is it with your bizarre obsession with wanting to recruit players not good enough to get games at their current side?

However if the missing word is [censored], or in trade parlance pedergrassed, then I guess the answer is humans are fallible

Sounds like a job for Petraccattack.

No... we are not improving our list with that trade.

Griffiths is a fringe 22 player at best for the Tigers and would not be an upgrade on Dawes or Pederson.

While Pick 12 in this shallow draft is unlikely to net you a player close to Tyson's ability.

Why would we entertain a trade for a player who in 2 years has finished 2nd (2014) and 13th (2015) in our B&F.

Was clearly struggling with injury in 2015 as well.

Yeah cheap seats

Go back to sleep mate

I'm assuming by players not good enough to get a regular game, you mean players who played 16 games this year and the games he missed mainly being due to injury?

Firstly I'd be thrilled if the whole Tyson being traded thing goes nowhere. Love him and would rather he stay.

But disgree that the scenario does not improve the list. Griffiths fills the 2nd key forward/ruck role that we're after. Turning 25 next year and getting ready to hit his straps. Watch his first quarter and a half against us in Round 4 this year before he hurt his ankle. Was looking extremely dangerous and I reckon is due for a big 2016. Then at Pick 12 we could potentially pick up someone like Balic, Tucker, Bonner etc.

On the other hand as I said, I'm more then keen to have Dom stay and watch him recapture his 2014 form next year.

He's now been in the system for 6 years and has played as a key forward the entire time with occasional stints in the ruck.

Not once in those 6 years has he even averaged a goal a game.

Set your sights higher.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
