Its also an award for being able to stand out with some distinguishing feature that makes sure each touch is noticed.

Mick Molloy was very unfunny.

So was Christian Howard......who?

Played more games than Gysberts.

on another topic, I think they should officially exclude defenders from the brownlow. its [censored] ridiculous. obviously the umpires have no appreaciation for the skill involved in being a good defender. they just vote for whoever gets the ball the most

T Mac gettin no votes and Scarlet hardly polling over the years when he was one of the best players of the past 30 years sums it up.

Totally agree. T Mac clearly best on ground in a couple of early games. There needs to be an award for defenders or education for umpires.

I know he belongs to another club but Nat Fyfe is an awesome person. http://www.afl.com.au/news/2015-11-26/nats-maldives-mission-brownlow-medallist-builds-a-bridge?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=RSS+feed%3A+AFL+Latest+News

Holidaying in The Maldives he helped a mate repair a bridge that was seriously dangerous which the local people really needed.

Thoughtfulness and effort like that puts football into perspective.

Great pics of their work

His effort is worth recognising I thought.

impressive!

does he fight crime by night as well?

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
