I think if he'd been signed to a three year deal, that would have possibly said something for Dawes, but this one year deal actually says, "you'll be playing second string, unless you prove your worth again".

FWIW, I think he's actually a more damaging role player than Dawes.

Ultimately, it's a one year deal. A good signing for mine.

Should have been re-rookied as big man injury cover if our list was genuinely improving. His re-signing is a signal that no one is biting on our trade bait.

We were never going to find a trade suitor for Pedersen. I haven't seen the stats, but I'd be interested to see who had the better scoring stats. Would prefer Pedersen in my team most weeks over Dawes.

If you were starving, half of a three day of sandwich would be delicious.

One year deal is about right for him, he's not the future but he is coverage as a forward/ruck. I rate him higher than Dawes, frankly Dawes had a terrible year. Shouldn't be best 22 going forward but you need to keep a few of these players around.
