sorry, i forgot your only Liter Al... I'll try to make it simple, & straight, & boring, next time for you so you can comprehend the curves, dd36

by the way dd36, what are you like understanding new Australians who may be trying to talk English to you.... do you walk away, when they do try?

I could walk into Chinatown and understand 98% of the chinese population there, and then theres you who speaks absolute [censored] that 95% of demonland still don't understand what the hell you are on about majority of the time.

Fair dinkum..

Bloody awesome. Bugg, Viney and Kent on the field together sounds like fun.... for everyone but the opposition.

remembering days of viney, grinter, & schwarta... & also of Lillee & Thomo,,, right in they're faces with ball, & head to head.

bring em on.

if you really don't understand the parallels i draw, then you have a very thin wave band in your brain... anyone can understand the parallel examples, maybe except those with very limited thinking abilities that are so straight.

how are you with abstract art, or writings? can you decipher messages in music? or must it be literal as well? is that literal, or lateral you can get? I tend to be more, analogue I guess you could describe it, with the warmer tones.

on the other hand, you may be more digital, like MP-3, diminished tones... you know the music with all the stuff missing. the stuff we can't hear audibly, but we can feel, at some level.

fair dinkum dd36, I'm starting to believe your serious, & truly cannot understand, rather than just being irritable.

Yeah cool story

Yeah cool story

Can you stop responding to him dazzle? I've been enjoying having him on my ignore list so I don't have to see any of his posts. I smile every time I read through a thread and I can skip his incoherent drivel. You should do the same.

your in my list with stuie, wise, your about as boring as your footy is.

I for one am glad I don't have to read your carping on 'like an old woman from the 50's'.

Bit harsh on Jetta's disposal IMO

Fact: Jetta led the AFL in disposal efficiency in '14 at 89%.

Ridiculous call about Jetta's disposal. He is very tidy with the ball, one of the few I have faith in that he will hit a target regularly.

Agree, values every possession he gets.

Tom Mcdonald should follow Jetta's example. Know your limitations.

My relationship history goes, Vietnam, China, Malaysia and Russia. But y'know what, after all that, I still can't speak Crazy.

Also, Thomas Bugg looks like he'd be a handy pick-up to reliably fill a role at low cost.

well I can communicate with poor linguistic Italions, Greeks, Argentinians, generally latino Sth Americans, & Western Europeans...

And I am very happy with any tough as, footy players.

as far as broad speaking styles, you'll have to tolerate it, or lump it. I'm not changing my style for others, who refuse to try to get it.

I havenrt seen him play much, are you saying he has a lot of mongrel in him?

Not sure it was a lot of mongrel, but he was the one that cleaned up Riewoldt earlier this year (?) or was it last year?

I've always enjoyed watching Bugg since his debut season.

When he's not niggling and getting under his oponents skin causing them to fault, he can use the ball beautifully out of the half back line.

He's not that high end player we are hoping for but he'll certainly create competition for that Grimes/ Howe half back role - yet with more shut down ability.

I believe you're right AF, I have a faint recollection of this.

Holy crap.

My subjective view of footy is way out of wack then. I would never have pegged his DE as that high.

On a 3 tier scale 1 being poor, 2 being (AFL) average, 3 being elite he's average.

I don't buy into kicking efficiency stats regarding some players based on the position they play as they can be misleading. Jetta being a perfect example.

Jetta seems consciously kicking within his limitations. Low risk but also low gain at times. I.e. he rarely stabs one 50 m into the corridor.

But as Clint once said "A man's gotta know his limitations"

The point I'm trying to make is Jetta does a great job playing his role locking down small forwards but what if we had someone who could do that and have elite disposal and push up into the midfield if needed.

We struggled this year again in the midfield but maybe next year depending on injuries but definitely in 2017 there should no such thing as a small lock defender or a mid sized defender and that's all they can do. It will be we have midfielders with elite disposal playing the role of a lock down defender or a mid size defender.

Hawthorn and Geelong worked this out years ago and the results speak for themselves.

I haven't seen a lot of Melksham, could be coming off the other back flank from Salem. Multiple options.

Spot on. You defend as a team, and attack as a team. We need our backmen to be more creative, and that includes our supporters love children like Jetta and Garland.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
