Todays epic victory @ Geelong - best win since when?

Perhaps the big 2010 win over Sydney, or the 2006 Elimination final vs St Kilda?

All things considered, you could make a case its our best and most important win since the 2000 Prelim.

2005 Geelong

Finally 4 quarters of footy lead by the newbees

One of the things I've been wanting to see from us for ages is an upset win over a much stronger opponent. This was it. This was exactly what I was hoping for. Today the team showed that when they get it right they can match any team in the league. I hope they can take away some rel confidence from this and understand that if they all do their job there's no team they can't give a fright to.

In terms of what it means for the players, the club and supporters I think it's our best win since 2006 elimination final. While the Sydney game in 2010 was awesome it just doesn't have that same feel as today's. To beat Geelong down there is a massive step forward for this club. One win in 27 years prior to today down there.. Under manned, backs against the wall.. Still can't believe it. What a difference a week makes in footy and how much better winning feels like

I will never ever forget Footscray in 87 last round! Veeeeery special!!

There have been many great wins, but one of the best as Subi, rd 22 greatest winning margin against the weagles, only because I was in the crowd.

But all the finals that we win are good :)

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

It's Game Day and Clarry's 200th game and for anyone who hates Carlton as much as I do this is our Grand Final. Go Dees.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
