AHG and the Cure for MND Foundation is calling on Melbourne supporters to rally behind Neale Daniher at Federation Square on June 8th before the blockbuster Queen’s Birthday game at the MCG.

Warm up before the Big Freeze at the G from 12.30pm for the AHG Walk to the G. There will be some very special guests appearing on stage, some great giveaways, and you could have the chance to win a brand new Toyota Hilux thanks to Australia’s largest motoring group, AHG. We will then all #walkwithNeale as he leads the AHG Walk to the G, departing Fed Square at 2.00pm.

Match Day Information

Great to see the 'Walk to the 'G' returning this year. Better yet, it will be led by one of our favourites, the Reverend, as part of the 'Big Freeze at the 'G' event aiming to raise funds for the Cure for MND Foundation.

Being our biggest game of the calendar, I truly hope everyone can make their best effort to get there to support our boys, and to support Neale as we get behind a great cause.

Go Dees.

I cannot watch Neale Daniher without tears in my eyes. What a great interview with Robbo. I loved that era of footy and admired Neale then - but more so now.

I would love to Walk to the G but unfortunately I have a lunchtime wedding to attend on Monday. I will be there in spirit and have donated to this worthy cause.

Pretty sure I saw a tear in Robbo's eye too.

I really enjoy Robbo's interview style. It's a good mixture of relaxed banter and asking serious questions. This one was both a trip down memory lane and a capture of the essence of Neale's cause. Great stuff.

For those who aren't aware, the Freeze MND campaign actually finishes with Monday's game.

As of last night, they had raised about $400,000, an almighty effort from the football community and others.

Obviously you can donate to the MND cause at any time, but if you want to contribute to Neale's campaign specifically, you need to do so in the coming days.

I read that as "walkwithNeeld"...

That particular event was held around the time of the bye round of 2013. Sadly, it only had one participant.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
